If your parents are frank and open to you than you will never have to approach any other second person for advice and suggestions in 'teenage associated matters' and stuff like that and no one is more sincere than ALLAH and parents...so better to have strong interaction with them !

I HATE THE TITLE, content-wise is perfect ! No youth is going to "waste their time" on a ONE hour video with that kind of TITLE! All I am trying to say is that, it might be a turn off for, if not most, some people. I really feel the solutions given by NAK is superb, I want to break the video and give better, more instant-gratification titles, like "PARENTING TIP : SHOULD YOU ALLOW YOUR KIDS TO USE FACEBOOK?"

For the one who knows his religion, would be able to do dawah. But when it comes to parents who don't teach their children, children reject their parents for that reason. And it's the duty of the parent first, when it comes to teaching the child. And anyway, public schools aren't sources of good education as compared to home schooling.
I would still disagree... I'd reference Raymond and Dorothy Moore regarding public school, and how their research suggested that school was a negative influence when it came to relationship with parents, especially for boys.
Seriously, why goto a place which even if you "feel" secure with your faith, would provide negative results upon your relationships, and education?
Like i said, every situation is different. I understand that for the average student, public school causes the relationship between them and their parents to deteriorate. But for an exceptional case, it is good for dawah
learning to say no to fitnah in public schools is great practice for college. I mean if you can argue your deen in highschool, you are better off arguing it in college when debating with "intellectuals" and whatnot.
Mashallah - I think we need more people like brother Nouman - who are well-informed about this age's knowledge and technology AND well-informed in the deen.

I HATE THE TITLE, content-wise is perfect ! No youth is going to "waste their time" on a ONE hour video with that kind of TITLE! I apologize, this is the truth, the title doesn't appeal to me that much at first and I'm reckoning it for the billion of youth. I'm not their voice, but I KNOW THEM. i am 16 and when i saw the title i became more interested in it because i wanted to learn about the prophet ibrahim and also when i seen that nouman ali khan was giving the lecture i became more into it.

All I am trying to say is that, it might be a turn off for, if not most, some people. I really feel the solutions given by NAK is superb, I want to break the video and give better, more instant-gratification titles, like "PARENTING TIP : SHOULD YOU ALLOW YOUR KIDS TO USE FACEBOOK?"
and cut the video, after they are satisfied by the answer then I can forward them to the whole video.

2nd, is the fact that the Supreme God does not need a house. The idea is ridiculous. If the house were the focal point for mankind as a place to serve God, then all the prophets subsequent to Abraham failed to fulfill their obligation to go there. Arabs either built this house (or utilized an existing pagan temple, of which there were many) to complete the illusion. This the center for their re-vamped religion.

2) Muslims do not worship a meteorite, nor the ka'aba. The place of ka'aba is only a direction (as directed by Allah) of which the muslims need to face when performing the prayer. Let say if someone moves the Ka'aba building to America, muslims are not going to change their prayer direction to America. The direction for the prayer remains still as before, to Mecca; because that's what Allah has commanded the muslims to do.

For the one who knows his religion, would be able to do dawah. But when it comes to parents who don't teach their children, children reject their parents for that reason. And it's the duty of the parent first, when it comes to teaching the child. And anyway, public schools aren't sources of good education as compared to home schooling.

I would still disagree... I'd reference Raymond and Dorothy Moore regarding public school, and how their research suggested that school was a negative influence when it came to relationship with parents, especially for boys.
Seriously, why goto a place which even if you "feel" secure with your faith, would provide negative results upon your relationships, and education?

Like i said, every situation is different. I understand that for the average student, public school causes the relationship between them and their parents to deteriorate. But for an exceptional case, it is good for dawah
learning to say no to fitnah in public schools is great practice for college. I mean if you can argue your deen in highschool, you are better off arguing it in college when debating with "intellectuals" and whatnot.
