Ferrari virtual academy is the true tester.. Its based on ferrari simulator code.. i cant be bothered playing either of these games except for f1 2010 a little because the racing weather and career are kinda fun for a bit. but the simulation is just dumbed down.

Mark webber and sebastian vettel also develop race track setups before a race weekend with it, seems to work pretty well for them. Also try Ferrari virtual academy for ferrari's actual simulator code simplified for pc.

@pvtdangles I played it with no mods and I don't care what redbull does, they're a race team, not sim racers. rfactor is a good F1 sim but it lacks for most other vehicles, that's why people make mods, it's not the best but I'd still rather play it than some console junk like forza. gt5, and race pro are the only console games really worth playing

@pvtdangles that's what everybody says. trust me I've played with the best mods, and the fanatec gt3 is a great wheel. the hardware isn't the problem. the problem is where the rubber meats the road. I may not have driven open wheels in real life (besides karts) but I have driven on slicks and just the way the tires grip the road is just a lot more realistic in gt5. I've tried rfactor with e few different mods too so don't say I haven't tried the right one. The fact that it needs mods says it all
