No they're NOT! This was just a funny idea for a showcase skit that wasn't executed properly. Silly showcases are okay if they tie into the prizes, if they don't then it just looks ridiculous.
Thankfully this kind of thing will pass, eventually.
I like The Price is Right, so I should watch it. Why can't I complain about something that isn't right? The world is not perfect. Besides, you make it sound like I devote my entire thing to complaining (or even complaining about these showcases). I don't. I just notice that recent showcases have been worse than past showcases. Don't you ever complain about anything?
Heck, I liked "The models can speak" showcase, and the pie in the face was something did way back when as well(Holly and Janice). But I would hope they didn't go so thick on these "Drew"cases though. Every so often I like, almost every day feels cheesy
The thing I didn't like about the models can speak showcase is that the models speaking didn't tie into the prizes. If they had introduced the prizes, it would have made more sense. Likewise, with the pie in the face showcase, the pie throwing didn't tie into the showcase. It wasn't like "A Day at the TPIR Circus". In fact, the models didn't even explain why they were throwing pies. If it was a model being upset that another mother described her prize, it would made more sense.
I'm glad Rich isn't on the show anymore...he wasn't made for humor, at least not Drew's humor.

Knock-knock jokes are only funny to young kids. Parents do not like their kids watching a show with an Eminem reference (SCSD 2).

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one to hate this showcase. Here are other showcases I hated. Did you hate them to?
1) "The models can speak" showcase
2) Pie in the face showcase
3) Fried chicken showcase
4) LA Kings Showcase
Some of these were good ideas; it was just executed poorly.
