  • Thanks for the posting, Mark. I remember your playing days very well when I attended Vandy (A & S '77). Who could forget Steve Sloan, in his Alabama drawl, referring to you as Mark Loooooo-ellen on his weekly TV spot! I hope all is well with you. See my game comments below.

  • Nice piece of nostalgia, yet bittersweet! I was a VU soph then who stayed back at school during Thanksgiving break to attend the game,: I still remember the rain and cold 37 years ago! I also recall (not shown) Holloway scoring on the final play and still swear he was out-of-bounds. Tommy West caught the conversion pass to tie the score, then picked a fight with Jay Chesley or Ed Oaks. Tom Galbierz pummeled West, then threw his own helmet in disgust, realizing the 'Dores let this one get away!

  • Larry Sievers and Condredge Holloway came through in the clutch and helped the Vols battle to a 20-20 tie. Tennessee finished 1974 7-3-2 and in the top 20

  • This was a cold game in Dec. Raining, wet, I am #52 offensive center, Mike Gales waves good bye and then gets caught from behind
