  • hiya which is better in gaming?

    N97?orN95?

    in 3D graphics capabilities

  • If you want a good 3D phone get the Nokia N900, it's out in a couple of weeks. The N97's graphics are rather poor.

  • hey ovigaming!

Is the lack of n97's 3d accelerator noticeble when you play 3d games? I mean in comparison with the n95

  • There is only a difference if you try to play games that actually use the 3D accelerator. Most games don't use it.

  • Heya ovigaming, it's me again "ShinigamiS1lv3r". Tell me, does some games suppot the different sensors of the N97?

  • Yeah, there are some games and apps which use the N97's various sensors.

Maybe the best sensor game on Ovi Store right now is Labyrinth Touch which uses the accelerometer / tilt sensor. It involves guiding a ball through mazes by tilting the phone. That's really great fun, there's also a free demo version of it in Ovi Store called Labyrinth Lite.

  • ummmm isnt the first level apotos not chun-nan?

  • You'd have to ask Gameloft, they did this game under licence from Sega.

  • look at the back round, see the china houses? .

  • this game is so lag !! :(

  • Yeah, Gameloft's stuff often has quite a laggy engine. I don't know why, but even their 2D stuff can sometimes be really laggy.

Even worse though is the concept of Sonic Unleashed: you have to keep stopping to beat up enemies, which spoils the whole point of the Sonic series.

  • praise for Gameloft as they did a pretty good job for iphone games, but not in symbian OS

yeah, spoil the whole classic Sonic concepts, i wonder they will give Sonic some guns and boms later ^^

  • AFAIK Sonic Unleashed isn't a Symbian game, it's a Java game. And even Gameloft's Symbian stuff is usually a port of the Java version rather than written for Symbian. Gameloft are usually pretty lazy when it comes to doing native software, they'll use Java assets if at all possible.

I wish Sega would just put Sonic in another 2D platformer like the original games. Nintendo did that with New Super Mario Bros and it worked really well, why can't Sega do something similar?

  • it looks good
