@EseContreras44 turbochargers & superchargers do about same thing the differences it just turbos run off exhaust air & will in long run produce more horse power in later gears & quicker gears where as superchargers run off air intake & will give u more horsepower at lower gears & wont get much more after 3rd or 4th gear & longer gears. so in the end turbos are better to run on your cars

I know the owner personally. The car uses a TH400 tranny for drag racing, it's not a "mile" built car for top speed though it has the power to go 250+ in the mile if he wanted to change parts and suspension around but I doubt that. As of now he's in the process of more tweeks to get into the 6's with it.

Its street legal. But you would not believe some things that were done to get this through. That 7 second setup would not get through emissions. Instead it was detuned big time to where it would barely run. I don't know if this car got back up and running since the fire it had from a poorly designed intake manifold.

I'm saying the video should be labeled the world's quickest viper. How do you know its the fastest if it never hit top speed? Quarter mile drag cars are built to be quick not fast. You wanna test the worlds fastest you go to the desert. I was looking for the fastest viper and I get this crap. He did run radials at one point, not sure what he is running now, most likely slicks since he has dipped into the 7's. even still the car is AWD, that alone is more impressive in my opinion, but w.e we all have our own opinions lol thats why they are like assholes. This car is something else no doubt, i guess i am just biased because im a mitsu guy.

@nallen100 No doubt sheps car is certainly a very impresive car in its own right! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe its still holds the world record holder for an awd 4cyl. That said this car is street legal and full weight at 3700lbs. Where Sheps car is a light weight race only shell of a car with an atom bomb of a motor under the hood. And as for its emmission systems. what emmision system! both very very impressive in their own right, but not really comparable.

Its street legal. But you would not believe some things that were done to get this through. That 7 second setup would not get through emissions. Instead it was detuned big time to where it would barely run. I don't know if this car got back up and running since the fire it had from a poorly designed intake manifold.

@e12dsm Shep isn't faster, Sal here has driven to a 7.5 and apparently dipped in 7.4's all while weighing almost 1000lbs more than that Talon and on street legal radials... This has the full stock interior, and rear end, as well as A/C. You can't compare the two, this vipers in another league.

This viper is much more of a street car that Shep's monster, I'm sure even he will agree. It is impressive no doubt, but not as impressive as a car this heavy on basically stock suspension running this fast.

I mean bro you look at 80% of all the pro outlaw class ar all autos. due mustangs, camaros, corvettes, supras, vipers if they are in the 7s 90% chance is either an auto/power glide, th400 or 4spd airshitted, jerrico, tranny. Both supras which in the mid 7 sec are using autos. actually i can probably count in one hand how many cars barely just broke into the 7s using a six speed.

@MarshallTK i can definitely understand a viper engine with 10 cylinders pumping 8.3 litres of fuel can make brutal amounts of torque... shit if a 2.2l turbo can make 700 pounds of torque... so coming back to my first question... whats the point of brutal power, if you cant lay it down... or use it properly without braking gear boxes... then why not just de-tune to a safe point... next question.... there arent any power glides? 700r? or 4L60E? that can hold rly? rly?
