@jamiekip The GTC was offline, he was out of the way, the LMP should have made sure he was clear of Hines before pulling out, happens all too often with LMP, they believe everyone else should get the hell out of their way, even when they are.

that's incredible! I didn't realize they actually call the race after that. but it makes sense when there's so much damage they'd have to postpone the race for at least an hour or two to fix the guardrail. but WOW what a piece of driving skill he actually straightened the car out after that hit! and he only had 3 wheels left it looks like.

@Lovinmetalallday Road America is tame compared to Mosport. Don't get me wrong, Road America is an amazing track with tons of history, but there is no comparison. Mosport is 2.459 miles long and they pull a faster average lap speed than a 4 mile long Road America that has long straights- nuff said. ;)

Mosport is North Americas gem. If you ever get the chance, you've gotta come up here and catch some live racing. TV doesn't do that place justice.

i was sitting at turn 8 so i didn't see the inncident but the camera operator told us that they got it... many left when they delayed it, i stuck around to see the last 2 yellow parade laps...

@funtom45 Yes I saw the gt40/bmw crash. I mainly saw the hood flying up into the air. Most of my attention was on the corvette that was smoking which was just behind that incident. No I was not part of the porsche or corvette, i was camped on the outside of 8.

Camped there all weekend, Have never missed a ALMS race there. Been there for everone. Big hit lots of damage to the wall . If the grown's crew could have fix it they would have, i know. They said it would take the crew 3 hours to do it right so they could restart the race. Glad that Luke Hines is ok

Just got back home from watching this race there at mosport, what a track! unbelievable speeds and you can get great vantage points, too bad it got stopped early but still worth going, highly recommend visiting this track.
