This reminds me so much of my nieces and nephews. My 2 yr old nephew likes to pretend everything is a gun. Last weekend he pointed one at me and told me to put my hands up. I put them up. Then he shot me. But he also has his sweet moments.
Im always on the fence with this, having to settle with it being both for the same reasons that some people may think its one. We can raise children the same & they turn out very different, but we can also raise them differently & have them turn out to be very similar. There is something within us all that no matter what we have or have learned we will be ourselves for better or worse, & we have that because of free will & conscious thought. Some people are just meant to be different.

Her boyfriend leaves the room on Thanksgiving, and the following happens immediately:
Me: Let's hide his cell phone!
Sister: Okay! Go put it in the guinea pig cage!
Then we proceeded to watch her slightly buzzed boyfriend try to find his cell phone.
So you see, Scott, your nephew isn't evil, hiding stuff is just fun.

I have a cousin who use to be like totally evil, but as he got older he became nicer. Maybe that will happen with ur nephew.
