Fried my mamba, tearing through deep grass for like 2 min wide open, all of the sudden, smoke, done... Now it just sits in a box. No time or motivation to fix it.

mamba's are crap i have got mamba max and micro pro, and both of these esc and motors heat up quickly, my lrp's will eat the mamba's hands down, and have much more power also, without breaking a sweat. mamba's are good for amatuer's. lrp or speed passion are the best on the market, pay for what you get.

well yah it matters what size, make sure you get the right scale for what car your putting it in. Also, different kv handles different batteries, so decide what batteries you want to run and then choose the best system for that setup. If its for 1/18, I would get the tekin 8000kv mini rage and run it on 2s, but if you really want downright speed with 3s lipo you can always just get the 6800kv version.

You need to program your punch control and timing. Buy a Castle Link and you can connect your ESC to your PC and program it.

And with the stock batteries, the Mamba cogs quite a bit. If you upgrade to a lipo battery, you won't need to change anything. I recommend the Castle Link as well, though. Safer than lipo batteries. >.>

hello i fixed mine it was a simple prob when i was assembling the servo savers and the bell crank i dident get them going straight up and down when the car was on they were off to the left and the right ball cup would hit the diff case

Yeah your ESC may be defaulted to forward only. Or you were stupid like me and got an eBay deal on a airplane/heli ESC. No reverse at all on those.

I'm told the RC18T is more or less indestructible right out of the box without any needed "expensive durability hop ups", coupled to a brushless and LiPo it should tear up 5 minute races.....

i had the c4 but was too fast. car was all over the place and kept flipping. ive widened my whole car now so i may go back to the c4. ckeck my home made wide body kit i made. it works great.

i wouldnt so much worry about width as much as length. Longer chassis improve control and cut down on wheelies. they help motrs open up son straight aways aswell cause theres not so much swerving.

hey bro, shoul try and stay away from ally gears. stick with the plastic ones. metal on metal creates enormous amounts of heat which transfers to your motor real quick! the cooler the better. and with you lipo its not the size, its the disburt rate. get a 1500 mah with a 25c disburt. then watch it fly with you 8000. keep me posted.
