looking at the symbols that represent the words of the language they seem a bit overly complicated, hell even Japanese Kanji aren't as complex as these, I'm just assuming these are comparable to overly complicated Gothic lettering, there's probably a simpler form that shorten the size to something close to scrawl, tho I do see some singular letters out of the song, like the O symbol in "whou" and "sor" at 2:35 and 2:37 so maybe its not based on words but letters which would make things easier.

When I picked my bro's memory card and listened to this song I got depressed because I chose Aurica's route (but on another side, Aurica's route got the marvelous boss fight theme : Loki so..)... Like all other Gust's games, I love their songs but Ar Tonelico's are especially beautiful and unique.

It really is a shame that the Ar Tonelico games get looked down upon for being 'fanservice games'. They produce music like this song, which is still the song I consider the most beautiful among game music even considering how long its been since the first game came out.

This is something I can agree with. Although, to be fair, if you look at the second one, and (from what I've seen) the third, there's lots of fanservice. Lots of it.

I do agree, the music is absolutely fantastic, but, especially in the third, there's tons and tons of the stuff. Kinda a pity really. The first game was kinda... flirtatious, I guess. It hints at going there but it really never does. With a certain exception, of course. The later games... they go there. kind of a pity.

The music and the worldbuilding are by far my favorite parts of the series. The stories and characters from 2 really good, even if the localization can cause an issue here and there. As for the 3rd game, it's pretty funny, I guess. Despite Qoga being a big tie up, most of the characters (Aoto being a total asshole most of the time for instance) I think 3 isn't as good as 2.

But, no matter which game, all 3 of them have fantastic music. Which is what really matters here, right?

This song is one of the main reasons why misha is my favorite reyvatiel (next to mir) people say she's childish and stupid but could someone so dumb come up with lyrics like this? i feel even more sympathy for her every time i hear this song. she gave up alot of her life to keep the people safe and that is why i will always prefer her to aurica (who i hate)!!

I don't have the money or the time to learn a real language. Hymmnos isn't something people teach you, it's something you research yourself, unlike real languages. Therefore it's slightly easier to learn. I only know how to sing Sol=FAGE and Harmonious, but with MyraSlokov 's help, I'd like to learn a lot more~ Hymmnos is actually pretty easy to learn if you're dedicated and you have the right site XDD It takes time, but it's worth it in the end~

Hymmnos really is a mix between languages. In some of the sentence structures, I can definitely see some English and Latin influence. I love METHOD_METAFALICA and this one, but this one is really the only one I could even attempt to sing. And I doubt I'll ever learn Replekia LOL

Second, it doesn't cost money to learn a real second language, the majority of spanish I know I didn't have to pay for, I mostly learned myself thru tutorials.
