It's amazing how gorgeous their racks (yeah yeah, insert boob joke here, ha ha ha) can get when hunters aren't out there trying to nab the ones with the largest racks every year...which is bad for conservation, by the way. I'm not against hunting, but many hunters aren't very smart about how to preserve strong blood lines/bigger bucks for the future.
@gary77777778888888 I looked it up its in canida but is it right on the border of ND? it shure looks like north dakota but i only been in williston well actualy 20miles north of williston but thats as far north ive ever been
@gary77777778888888 Saskatchewan shares it's south border with both North Dakota, and Montana. On it's west border is alberta, it's east border is shared with manitoba, and the north with the Northwest Territories.
@thebestsavage Do thay have oil there? You seem to know the area well. Sorry a bout all the questions. Thanks for the info thow. One more thing is it hard to get a tag there if your out of state? I would think it would be easy just like here in az its hard for residents to dra out but out of state people get most of the tags i know its because thay have to pay more for a tag. It agrivates me even thow i havent tryed to draw out latly because we know a guide that bings us lots and lots of meat.
@gary77777778888888 I am not actually from Saskatchewan, but I assume they would have some oil, but not a lot. To hunt in Saskatchewan you have to either be a resident of Saskatchewan, or have a native take you, or go on a guided hunt. I believe the guided hunt would run you about $5,000. if you google "Saskatchewan hunting regulations" you will find a government website that you can download the regs. they will tell you eeverything you need to know.
too many flamer trolls here that have never even been hunting. if youre a real hunter you know what a heart attack buck is. if not go watch some dora the explorer videos pussys

@BloatedSensations "To suggest that hunting is somehow beneficial to an animal population is ludicrous."
Really? So nature is just going to take care of the feral pig problem (the top cause of sea turtle nest destruction). Sure. After the sea turtles disappear from the US coast forever.
You are wrong on many counts, and you should read your own criticisms of other people's comments and take them to heart.
i would of shot that som bitch out of season. thats what we call hogs down here. that wont a damn deer that was a mac daddy. that som bitch was a freak nasty. im telling you i would of shot that som bitch when ever and where ever i saw him. lol.
The difference between our ancestors HUNTING for FOOD is that they often would only be hunting the weaker of the herd. Today's hunters are often (not all of them) are hunting for sport and they hunt the biggest and strongest and the best of the species for their sport. there is a big difference between hunting to eat and hunting for sport. But not from the animal's point of view I'm sure.
@Rockyet DUDE. I have been hunting deer, elk and antelope since my people supposedly came across the ice bridge. now we hunt the way that is regulated by our states fish and game services. If they say it's big buck only or doe only then THATS WHAT IT IS. Not only that, but we kill the largest buck because he has already spread his grenetics to the herd. we kill the big buck to ensure genetic diversity within the herd. I like hunting, It's called "resource manegement"!
@mlbirdinground you're living in the old days man, what is considered a big buck in many places is small in places....there weren't cars mowing down "big" bucks back in the day either, resource management also was not killing every buffalo you saw, sure you had uses for every part, but by no way was every part used on every kill...too much to bring back
@gooookstomp Buddy....If i was living in the old days....there would be no need to manage these animals. It was the european settler that came here that killed every buffalo they saw. lol. NOT US. We hunted buffalo twice a year. Deer once a year. We killed only enough to survive untill the next hunt. If you do not know about our culture and our ways...DO NOT SPECULATE. It only makes you look uneducated and like you cannot control yourself. EVERY PART WAS USED. we even used scROTUM FOR BAGS.
@mlbirdinground yeah you're right. I was on some stupid Ethics rage for a little while. Realized I have some faulty morals myself, and am in no position to make judgements on others. Hunting is quite regulated, at least up here in Canada for sure, so it seems like fair "game" :P
@mlbirdinground killing the biggest buck means there will be no other baby big bucks, i live in a pretty remote area in scotland and my grandfather always shot the smallest ones and left the biggest to live, hence why we now have a huge average size
@themilkmister that may be true, but here, on this land, that large buck has gotten that big because he can fight, and knows how to think. He has these traits, and because of that he has mated with several females and his DNA will go on to the next generation. Females go for the fittest. There will be bucks of his bloodline in the future. Smart and robust offspring. If we were to kill the less fit buck, whom may or may not have mated, then we have a smaller gene pool for the herd to work with.
@mlbirdinground your last point doesnt make sense, shooting any deer, whether they are big or small, will make a smaller gene pool. There is absoulty no way you can argue shooting the big bucks will create a bigger average size, face it. This has already happend in parts of France where trophey hunting has resulted in signifcantly smaller deer.
@themilkmister not if the head buck has already spread his DNA. By the looks of those horns....their rut is in full swing or over. he has had his does. Also, Those bucks look related. All non-typical. cmon guys....its not that hard to comprehend.
@mlbirdinground Yeah maybe for that year, but next year he wont be able to spread his genes while the little ones will, creating more little ones and continuing the downward spiral of size through each generation. Like I said before there are clear examples in France and on my land. Dont get me wrong, I love hunting, but arguing that killing big bucks wont harm the average size of deer is a misplaced argument
@themilkmister really? buddy cmon!?!?!?! his offspring will be just as large and smart as him. GO TROLL SOMEWHERE ELSE. You obviosly have no genetics education.
@mlbirdinground it clearly states right in the video that it was taken on September 1st, no rutting activity has taken place at all, you can't sit there and say by the looks of these horns the rut is in full swing obviously you don't pay attention to detail
@mlbirdinground "we kill the big buck to ensure genetic diversity... I like hunting, It's called "resource manegement"" - I'd never do anything to work against your, or anyone else's, ability to hunt responsibly, or advocate for such. But, it's silly to use absurd rationalizations. Nature does absolutely fine without us putting our hand in it. To suggest that hunting is somehow beneficial to an animal population is ludicrous. At best, responsible hunting has an insignificant impact.
@mlbirdinground "I have been hunting deer, elk and antelope since my people supposedly came across the ice bridge. " - Oh, and, I really, really, really doubt that statement is true. ;)

This is obviously on a reserve dur ! Bucks do not run together normally. Anyone who is a deer hunter knows this.

@hourglassfigure1 They do all the time, though during the rut things change. But bucks will still follow other bucks then in competition.
