I cantbelieve she isn't one of the most famous ballerinas now! She is amazing her technique is wayyy better than almostall other principals and she had great extenions and she got stage presence. Why the f*ck isn't she in the Bolshoi or ABT?
@0Angelfromheaven0 It's b/c of her build, so not fair I know but those top tier companies almost never take anyone who isn't super long and overtly lean- even when they are this talented. Their loss for sure!
@MsVaughn75 sad but true . there is a girl at pacific northwest who can turn like this. i have seen her do 14 pirouettes on stage. and she is like 5'10 and rail thin. there are other girls who can turn like this. rare but there out there . it is sad because her presence is incredible
@0Angelfromheaven0 I think it might also be because she is not the typical classical ballerina. She excels in modern/contemporary dance pieces. I actually think that's the style she enjoys dancing the most. Therefore, she found a company that would allow her to perform such pieces. With ABT or Bolshoi...she would have to be too classical, even for the occasions where they do present contemporary/modern pieces. I just hope she loves it where she is. She is such a delight to watch.
It is now clear that Mrs. Pastor's talent is not only technical. Let's keep in mind that classical ballet is not only about extentions and pirouettes, it requires histrionism and versatility. Everybody can see that she has it all, technique and artistry. Both factors make a Prima Ballerina. Her technique is astonishing, and at times frightening. I can only picture perfection and success in a near future.
