Landau is a master ensemble player (as evidenced by his large body of studio/session work).

His soloing is refreshing because he doesn't try to achieve light-speed, but rather concentrates on control, feel and subtle touches more than blinding velocity.

Although I'm sure he can play

plenty fast when he wants to.
