I really used to love this game, but watching it now mostly causes a headache because of the monotonous engine sound :-) Back when I played this game for hours and hours, our C64 was in the living room. I can't understand how my parents put up with it for an entire Saturday morning and afternoon, because I never had a single complaint from them!
What I loved about this game is the variety of tunnels, banks, bridges and the like which it throws at you. BTW, is it me, or does the minimap in the top left have very little correlation to the course you drive?
That was my first racing-game, when I was a kid, and it was (and IS =) great! Even today I sometimes play a round. G R E A T and C=64-Version was much better than Amiga or Atari ST-Versions...
That was the first game i got to my C64. It had a long loading time on the casette player, but i upgraded to a disc player and a speed up card called final cardtrigde five or someting... and the game loaded realy fast.. I belive the buggy jumped high when hitting the lumber and could drive on two wheels when hit stone?.. twenty years ago.. but really great at that time!
Good C64 Game!

I didn't watch it all but it didn't look like you ever drove over the logs or small stones at all. BORING!

Buggy Boy is really cool on the C=64: I've spent many hours playing this little treasure on my Commie, and will play it again soon!

Loved the game because it played so smoothly, but never understood why you don't have to steer to get through a turn in the road?!

I hope this appears on the Virtual Console for the Wii. I haven't played it in years and certainly think it'd be worth a download.
