You did a beautiful job on your car. The dark blue color really sets off the trim. I think the 61 Ford Galaxie had the most classic & clean body design of it's time. The interior was spacious and beautifully designed. The engine was powerful and indestructible. I wish I still had mine, and I remember the rumble of those glass packs.
@MrTrack412 - No, they're separate models. Fairlanes are typically smaller than Galaxies. "Galaxie" was a trimline on the 1959 Fairlane. After that, Galaxies and Fairlanes were separate models.
...nice lookin' Galaxie. Some states used the 4-door version as Highway Patrol cars, back in the day. I like your steering wheel; one of those is in my Jeep, too. :)
@ahyielding , The wheels are 7x14s in front and 8x14s in back. The car is across the state right now, but I'll check the tire sizes the next time I see it.
Say - is that a 62 at the end of the video (parked next to your 61)? I had a 62 390 with an electro-mechanical overdrive while in high school and my parents had a 62 with the 352 engine. I loved those cars.... Thanks for posting this. Your car looks really cool on the road - low to the ground and wide.... makes me want to get another 61-64 Galaxie!
@lylehsaxon - Yes, that's Grandpa's '62 with a 390. He bought it out of a pasture for $25 and restored it. They also had a '62 tudor hardtop back in the day, but it was traded in long ago. Thanks for the comments!
nice i have a 63 ive had it 4 over 2 years and still workin out some kinks it has 352 V8 solid body almost no rust craking paint and just rebuilt trans soon 2 upload video
My family had a 1960 blue exterior and interior. What a car! It was the first car we ever had that included A/C and in a South Florida summer that was heaven.
When I was a kid my neighbor had a white 61 2-door sedan that he bought new & didn't like so he only ever drove it to church on Sunday--the rest of the time he drove his 49 Lincoln. Wish I could have got both of them!!!

Friend, I am renovating an equal to its gostoaria and whether you can provide me with information from the story of this model and whether it is still possible to find replacement parts? I'm in Brazil and if you agree we can exchange e-mail.
