Hi hope someone can help? I have just go to the part where you render clouds over the blur layer, then i click on the layer masking button, go to brushes but then it doesnt do anything, the clouds just stay there, please help!

@MrDannyM18 set the brush colour to black (the one ur using ie the foreground colour)

to undo stuff just switch it back to white and click away it will remoive the masked bits hope this helps.

There are so many thing untold! What happens ant 8:10 where my whole screen goes white (and i tried with layer mask). You put your group layers to color dodge, and you made your speckts with white color and it STAYED white, which is not case with me.

Maybe some settings in my photoshop are not good,i dont know, but this doesnt work for me!

@Artorious0 If you watch the tutorial closely, you'll see that I made my 3D text in Illustrator CS5. So you can use that to edit the text or create your own =)

@upandgorules In case you didn't read the title, this particular tutorial is labeled as "advanced" so I that alone should tell you that I go through this tutorial in a way that experienced users will understand. I'm sorry if I didn't dumb it down enough for you, but I'm sure the more advanced users are happy that I didn't baby the viewer. As for your question, watch 3:17 carefully. The group is set to Color Dodge, and the clouds are made using default black/white colors.

Umm, the 3D PSD link yu put in the description is great and working, but when I open it...it comes as saying "CHECK IT", how can I change that text into something like my name or somethingg without getting Adobe Illustrator or if yu can do that for me, please I really want to do this edit with my name not "CHECK IT" please help. and which brushes are we suppose to download, the abstract ones...but which file and most of them don't work...please help me out with 2 of this major problems thankzz

@HiImATucan You should be able to double-click the smart object (the text) and it will open it in Illustrator. I'm not entirely sure cause it's been a while since I've messed with it xP
