  • You can always use heat emmiter bulbs they produce no like so there really good for night.

  • We haven't even had our bearded dragons for a year and already spent hundreds on light bulbs because they constantly blow out... im using a portable heater, is this fine for night use only? during the day we have those bulbs

  • actually 2 lizards in the world can se red lights the bearded dragon is one of them so dont use nightbulbs :)

  • mine sleeps fine and it dont care if it cold it will like go to the tank and lick the glass and ill come check it every half an hour to see how its going

  • red bulbs make you bearded dragon feel like it is on acid, it kills them, makes them not develop the way they should, DO NOT USE RED BULBS you should use heat buld and a uv

  • red balls..

  • how many bulbs do i need for a tank????

  • why does he stutter so much

  • Guys I need help. I've had a Bearded Dragon for six years, he lives in an excellent sized cage, he gets his heating light and lamp, he eats lettuce and other green foods and crickets. He basks on his big log all the time and I always have his drinking bowl filled. The problem is Growth! He doesn't grow. He looks like a Juvinile Beardie and sometimes (Maybe my imagination maybe not) he looks tired, old, and unhealthy. I don't know what else I can do. Please reply with tip! It'll be appreciated!!

  • I'm getting one for the day bulbs should I use a UVB and a basking bulb or a UVB and a blue day heat bulb??

  • u dont need different bulbs just a heating regular looking bulb but make sure they have like a lil house where they can go in where theres shade

  • im gonna get a Bearded dragon but all im gonna do is buy the 20 gl tank and the starter kit

  • 1. blue bulbs is a day bulb

    2. bearded dragons can see red

    3. use a ceramic etmiter

    4. you don't need to see them at nite thier not nocturnal

    5. use a heat pad

    6. its best to use a full spectron uv light because it gives out uvb and uva compact lights has beed known to blind reptiles

  • @BackYardBeaVer Could you use it heat pad for a baby?

  • bollocks red buld give off heat also, if your using a heat mat you dont need a red bulb!....change the shirt!

  • BEARDIES CAN SEE COLORED LIGHTS BECUZ DAY BE SPECIAL HAHA but seriously do some research

  • relley all you need is two bubes

  • The red bulb is not visible to many reptiles, but beardies do see that light. It can seriously throw off their biological clock. this man is not an idiot he has a lot of good info so disregard phallus69, but you really should do some more research before posting these vids. it can lead to somebody harming their pet, You can use Ceramic heaters at night they emit no light. not to mention it can be about 80 deg at night time in their habitat. Deserts are not 100 deg at night so keep that in mind.

  • this guy is an idiot, you cant use a red night bulb on a beardie

  • Comment removed

  • @boylicker124 do your research, bearded dragons are one of the only lizards that can see the infared light so it disturbs their sleep cycle.

  • do you need a night light?

  • @marshal1997 Nope

  • @marshal1997 no. unless your room gets super cold. mine is regulated

  • @ojones212 If he is shedding, then soak him in the sink or bath tub, 20 mins everyday, or he is eating too much? do you gut the crickets, that is very important... is he getting enough light everyday? how long does he have lighting?

  • @Smock63 yeah he is shedding he keeps rubbing up against everything. I do gutload the crickets as well as dust them. i keep the uvb and basking light on a timer on at 7 and off at 10.. He seems to be doing better now. He ate his first cricket today!

  • @ojones212 Yeah my just started eating crickets 4 days ago, it went on about 5 days with no food. but i kept giving him 20 min warm baths, and put moss in the cage watered down to keep the moisture up, and best of luck to your dragon

  • @Smock63 Thanks! Same to you

  • bearded dragons and komodo dragons are the only two lizards that can see colored bulbs for night time turn off the lights and in the morning turn them back on

  • when i used to put a RED UV light on for my lil beardie he used to just stare at me until i turned it off, he hates it. everytime i put it on he goes crazy. wont sleep with it on.

  • theres a pet sstore in my town and all he reptiles r sick or to weak to move. while the rabbits ext. r in fine shape...... it makes me sick

  • @XcXdualchamp50 u should report them to animal welfare then X

  • lol i have a bearded dragon n i just put him in a black light n he was sleepin n he was really agressive n he had never done that until i put that light should i keep it or put a sun glo light for the night

  • @barneyistheshit99 its all about kijiji bro haha its the shit

  • I just use a heat pad at night instead of a night bulb.

  • most reptiles dont see red bulbs but beardies do so dont use one use a ceramic bulb instead they produce heat and no light so good for them at night

  • i dont have them any more

  • I am struggerling to get my vivarium to the right temp as i may have the wrong bulbs how can i get it warmer in the vivarium and how do i tell which bulb is made for basking or general heating?

  • is a 20 gallon good fer a beardied dragonadult but one

  • no u need a 40 to 50 gallon tank 4 a adult bearded dragon

  • @mrg35racer i know jus askin

  • @mrg35racer u can also have 30 gallon breeder, its same as 40 only 4 inches shorter. same floor space

  • @myjuto369 no need at least a 30 gallon breeder, 40 is better but they are the same thing except 40 is taller that the 30 by 4 inches

  • what would happen if the power went out

  • can i turn any of the lights off as i need my bedroom pitch black

  • get a ceranic heat emiter they r heat lamos but out off now light look them up hope this helps

  • as long as you have a heat mat at the right temperature

  • Comment removed

  • Guys I have like a 40gallon tank for more and I bought two baby beardies they have a nice good looking baskingspot but I got them a 150watt basking bulb is that ok for them?

  • I have a 75w Incandescent and a UTH heating device for heat and basking and a 10.0 UVB bulb for growth. Temps are usually 90 degrees F', it's a baby beardie, is that hot enough?

  • mine is 103 degrees, i was reading that for babys you need 100-110.

  • Thats what i do, i have the night bulb on all the time, and turn the UVB on in day time. I think im gonna go get a day bulb..

  • i use the night bulb on hot side of cage and UVB bulb on the cold side all day lol is that fine

  • do you have to turn off the day light at night and leqave the night light on at night

  • The day and night bulbs are a waste of money. Any sort of light while the beardies are trying to sleep will bother them even the "night" bulb. You don't need a bulb on at night unless the temperatures get around 60. And if the temps do get that low, you should get a ceramic heat bulb. This gives off heat without making any light. So your beardie stays warm but isn't annoyed by a light. ^_^

  • I have just got my 1st baby dragon it is in a 4ft tank with a uvb bulb and a ceramic heat bulb is this eonugh or do i also need one of the red night light's and also how long should the uvb bulb be on per day?

  • as long as the tempature doesnt go under 65-70 degrees at night you'll be fine

  • u dont actually need the night bulb, unless your house is cold at night. and for the uvb bulb... turn it on at 9:00A.M and turn it off at 7:00P.M so leave on the uvb and basking light for around 10-12 hours.

  • I only have the uvb strip bulb and a creamic heat bulb it was baught as a complete setup from a pet store is the ceramic bulb the same as a basking light?

  • wait wait so i do not purchuse a night bulb just put on the dryer or put on the heat that will do as long his temp doesnt get lower than 70 F ?

  • do you have to have a night lamp, and should i keep my ultraviolat or something like tht light on at night?

  • I use both a Day and night:)for my beardie:D

  • Comment removed

  • i got infered does that work for day and night also got a 10.0 repti glow from exo terra

  • Ive jus got a red night spot lamp for my corn snake as my heat mat wasnt pulling its weight what i want to no tho is can i use the red bulb in the day as well or do i need to by a new bulb such as a blue 1 and keep swaping them over as my lamp is fixed in the viv and has no room on the warm side for another lamp

  • if i buy a bearded dragon and i leave for the weekend, 2 or 3 days, would i need to get a freind to swing by and check on him or could i leave him with food for a few days?

  • always have a friend check up on any reptile or exotic mammal.....have them call u and have em tell u the colors or what it's movements r

  • UNLIKE TH OTER PPL FROM ev HES NOT TO BAD.

  • Check out my videos! type in hannah4everdumbs and they should pop up...

  • They do not need any light at night and they can see it (they have a "third eye" on the top of their heads), so it does keep them awake. Get a ceramic heat emitter if the temps drop below 60-65F. ANY light at night disturbs them. Also, don't get a "yellow" basking light. Bearded dragons like it bright. Just use a normal household bulb or a Halogen bulb, don't waste your money on "Reptile Basking Lights". They still need UVB light, though. Not a compact or coil & some brands hurt their eyes.

  • is it okay if i use a heating pad under there cage

  • i wouldnt it can burn them

  • not if you can monitor it.

  • It would be, unless you cant monitor it every 2 hours (so it doesnt get too hot), but the light is preferred.

  • mean 1:10

  • 1st

  • haha 1:19 is hilarious when he says spot bulbs

  • shut the fuck up no1 cares if ur first
