Zidane is better than Scholes. Man U went against zidane's madrid and juve sides and always had a hard time, or got knocked out. Also Scholes' effect is less visible than Zidane's and he was the most marked playmaker in europe, he still dominated games.

I'm sorry, I love Paul Scholes, but anyone who says that he was a better player than Zidane is kidding themselves or doesn't know their football. Zidane is better than Scholes. Man U went against zidane's madrid and juve sides and always had a hard time, or got knocked out. Also Scholes' effect is less visible than Zidane's and he was the most marked playmaker in europe, he still dominated games.
That being said, Scholes is a fantastic player in his own right.

Zidane is a fantastic player I myself respect. But you must remember not every great player adapted to the premier league. Forlan failed. Veron failed. Kleberson was so highly rated after his successful World cup but he was a ridiculous flop. If you want to look at it another way, the premier league has always been harder to score in compared to in france or spain. zidane has 122 goals from 689 appearances has a 149 from 643. and they both play in the same position.

Yes ok, France built their team around Zidane, so what? Zizou still had to do the business and in 2006 he carried France to the final single-handedly.
