  • To this day, I wish Lex Luger didn't get early. Just doesn't make sense....

  • @tnbuddy21 get hurt*

  • Sceen jean, hilarious.

  • glad to say i was here in daytona for this

  • All the men involved in this match were in the nwo at one point or another

  • I hate Tony Schiovane. Sting does a weak ass looking tackle and hits someone 4 times and it's "WE HAVE NEVER SEEN STING LIKE THIS! OH MY GOD!" He's annoying. He needs to realize when to use phrases like that and when to just call the mother fucking match.

  • @ChefRappa Yeah...Jim Ross he is not

  • @ChefRappa Calm down man.

  • @ChefRappa Remember Jim Ross?..."Good God The Undertaker just hit him with a hammer!" haha

  • I miss these days. wcw at its best

  • miss all these different ppv stages and themes

  • At 2:43 Tony said it right... " fans you are witnessing history in the making..."

  • Dolph Ziggler is one of the best wrestlers today. He's already a World Champion, also a former Intercontinental Champion and could be better than Macho Man Randy Savage when he held it, even as current United States Champion and much better mat wrestler than Luger or Sting combined.

  • I MISS BEING A KID GOD DAMMIT THIS WAS AWESOME.

  • Anyone who doesnt like this video is an unemployed uncleansed toothless fat hack

  • OUTSIDERS WERE GANGSTA

  • @nottzg

especially when they walked through the audience to the ring lol

  • R.I.P MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE..

  • RIP Macho Man.

  • Although he was no Bret Hart, Sting, or Kurt Angle, Scott Hall doesn't get near enough credit for his ability as a technical wrestler.

  • @newwaveknight1 Scott is in the same realm as Jake the Snake Roberts, his personal issues kept derailing him just as he's ready to turn the corner in the business. It's a damn shame but unfortunately that's why he doesn't get much credit.

  • mean gene was the best ever

  • fc2300 ftw

  • oh this is so straight watching aload of guys in tight pants grabbing and touching each other

  • @SamFisherIsREAL grow up dude................

  • thumbs up if u came because of march madness

  • DONT YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND THIS IS FUCKING FAKE FIGHTING

  • @Warnout13 What?! No way! You're crazy! Next you'll be telling me Arnold Schwarzenegger ISN'T a cyborg from the future!

  • @Warnout13 We gaet it - But what we be the fun of talking about it - if it didn't tick off people like you - And why are you bothering watching this fake fighting?

  • FC2300

  • @RichieeGames who gives a fuck. he brought me here as well, but im not desperate for a comment that gives thumbs up.

  • @RichieeGames You stoll my comment ho!

  • @RichieeGames me too

  • FC2300

  • Today is a disgrace on how wrestling is done

  • I kept thinking that the third guy was going to be someone huge that was still in the WWF. I thought Shawn Michaels was going to jump as the WWF Champion and then I thought, no, it will be someone that hasn't yet been associated with Kevin Nash & Scott Hall, and it came down to Hulk Hogan. I had it down to pretty much just Hogan after eliminating HBK.

  • isnt it kinda funny that all three of them joined the NWO later on....LOL...

  • While Nash and Hall are looking at the crowd they have to be thinking "you have no idea what you are in for"

  • that arena is awesome

  • Gene? What are you doing here?! Is he the third man?!!! OMG! Oh wait...it's just a prematch interview....

  • i was too young to watch wcw at this time, what was hogan doing at this time when hall & nash joined wcw?

did nobody find it strange that hogan wasn't one of the 3 wcw guys to face hall & nash in the match?

basically what i'm asking is did anyone work out that hogan was the 3rd man?

  • @RPOED1

He was supposedly out filming his television show, Thunder in Paradise. I was like 15 at the time and none of my friends had Hogan as the 3ed guy. He was the ultimate baby-face, say your prayers, eat your vitamins, blah blah blah. We all hoped it would be Shawn, but when Luger went down at the start of this match we assumed it would be him. When Hogan came down we about shit a gold brick.

The original N.W.O. (Hall, Nash, Hogan, Trillionaire Ted, Show, and Six) were the shit.

  • I remember watching this live when i was 14 also... and being actually shocked that Hogan went heel. Nobody thought in a million years that Hogan would turn. I dont think a moment like this could ever happen again. well not here, part 3.

  • wrestling now -_-

    wrestling then :-)

nWo fucking brillant, made wcw, wcw nothing without nWo!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I remember being 14 watchin this. Turned the wrestling world upside down with this. And those nWo shirts were just too SWEEEEEEEET!

  • 2-21-11

  • 90s

sigh, to live through them again

  • man there will never be a time like this in wrestling period i promise best thing that could ever happened

  • yesit was a good thing hogan decieded to do it at the last minute instead of sting it still may have worked if sting said he was working for vince but this was the ideal way it should have happened

  • If Sting was NWOs 3rd man it would have sank like a Rock because people were expecting somebody with a connection to WWE so thank god they went with the Hogan idea.

  • @Pulpedtoafiction31 i read somewhere that bret hart was originally supposed to be the 3rd man but then vince gave bret a 20-year contract which he later reneged on (just before the montreal screwjob). but i don't know if any of that is true. what would have happened if bret was the 3rd guy and hulk hogan returned, still a good guy (to fight against the nwo) but more of a badass than the eat your vitamins, say your prayers character???? that would have been interesting, maybe.

  • @FromSouthforkTexas sting was supposed to be the 3rd man but said no. it was decided in the last day that hogan was the 3rd man

  • @fofferk That's almost right, Sting was the backup plan in case Hogan backed out at the last minute. You're def right that they considered Sting for it, but Hogan was the original plan.

  • @jmn327 I actually heard that another option was Bret Hart cuz if you remember, Bret was negotiating with WCW at this time before he wound up signing back with WWF. He wasn't under contract with WWF in the summer of '96. that's when Vince had him sign that 20 year contract. In fact, Bischoff was telling Hogan about it in his office and finally Hogan was like "well how about me?" and that's how it went down.

  • what is the name of the music that the outsiders used

  • aint gonna beat the rock or austin....

  • Best main event in wrestling history. PERIOD.

  • and if the fans cheered sting even if he was the leader of the nwo then they would essentially cheer the nwo as a group and the wcw didnt want that because that would make wcw the heels and the nwo the babyfaces and they wanted the nwo to be the heels and wcw to be the babyfaces

  • does anyone realize that the original idea of the nwo was for sting to be the 3rd man and the leader of the nwo because he was the franchise of wcw but then they decided to go with hogan because they figured it would have more of an impact then it would have had if sting would have been the 3rd man because of how much hogan was loved and adored by the fans and also they chose hogan because they didnt feel sting would fit well into the heel role because they felt fans would still cheer him

  • @cobra42029 They made it Hogan at the last minute but kept the match pretty much scripted the same. The accidental Stinger splashing of Luger was originally going to turn out to have been deliberate.

  • its amazing that about a year later 4 of these guys would become members of the wolfpack..(the kevin nash led wolfpack)...nash,savage,luger,and sting

  • put razoe in the hof btw.

  • Hall and savage REAL problems.

  • Where did Scott Hall come up with his prematch ritual of jumping up and down like he's going to punch someone then stopping and sticking his arms out with a slick smile? But I have to admit, he is one of the coolest guys to ever walk the planet.

  • Who did you guys think the 3rd man was gonna be? I think i thought is was gonna be DDP, because he managed Hall in the early 90s as the Diamond Studd and was tag team partners w/ Nash when he was Vinnie Vegas. I also thought it might be Sid Vicious for some reason.LOL. I was like 11 at the time.

  • @butchvito I was 11 and I thought it was Shawn Michaels because of the klique and i figured WCW could throw whatever money he wanted. I also thought it might go the WCW route and be a total let down so i was afraid it would be the Warrior (which they did two years later)

  • @butchvito if you were 11 you remembered DDP managed Scott? I though it was going to be Luger. THey had been hinting that he was going to turn heel since he debut in WCW. I also though Shawn or Bret.

  • @ecwecwecw1 Yeah i started watching wrestling when i was about 4 or 5. I cant bare to watch it these days

  • This was the best day in my life. Nash, Hall, and Hogan. 3 of the biggest superstars in wrestling. All I can do is bow down.

  • Savage looks good with this facepaint !!!

  • I wish Lex would have last just a touch longer. I mean this match was drawn up to a T and done really really well. I just thought they gave him a raw deal letting him wrestle only 2 mins or so.

  • nWo's real first theme

  • @HipnosisV1Games They even used this theme at the Fall Brawl wargames two ppv later

  • what happened to luger

  • Funny thing is is that not even 5 years later, WCW was out of business. You never would've guessed it from this.

  • to think I thought it was gonna be Bret Hart or I also thought Sting would turn his back on WCW and join NWO

  • i always like to think of new angles sometimes and i was thinking of this one.

lets say hall and nash showed up in may/june just like normal they said they would have a 3rd guy by the bash but there isnt one.

then say fall brawl they pull a double whammy by tying sting up somewhere bring out the fake sting and then hogan in the war games. sting is no where to be seen until nitro and as before nobody trusts him.

  • this scenario would make us have to wait a full year for a real wcw vs nwo war games match instead of doing it right off the bat. so anyway wed just move pipers appearance up from halloween havoc to ww3 same as before but wait until the first souled out ppv to have the piper hogan match

and do the same match they did at starrcade and have hogan lie about winning since it was an nwo ppv.

  • One of the Greatest Moments in wrestling history!!!!!!! Will history repeat itself and TNA do something this big and beat out boring WWE? Lets hope so because its only a good thing for wrestling

  • tna is having bound for glory at this very location on 10th october, 2010- i think we will see another hogan heel turn

  • "WHO BE BAD NOW" lol

  • LMAO, Luger incapacitated by way of indirect Stinger Splash...Wrestling is great! So campy....

  • this is when Sting wasn't lame!

  • GOD okerlund looks tiny

  • Oh man, these commentators were awesome. I miss the good ol' wrestling days. WCW vs WWF monday night wars were the best. nwo/therock-stone cold/ goldberg

  • Razor looks so much younger and more importantly healthier

  • This match pretty much sums up Lex Luger's career. Looked good walking out, done almost before the match started.

  • @gjfwang hahaha damn Sting looked hella fruity back then

  • nowadays kids may think this was the worst day of wrestling because the bad guys dominate the industry, but for who over 25, they may think it was the best moment.

  • Thank you for the upload!

  • ha this was the mid 90's...what kinda god awful music did sting, luger and savage come out to

  • TNA Bound for Glory 2010 is coming here, something is going down for sure.

  • @GamingPalooza it's going to be awsome...this would have to be the biggest venue TNA has rented out so far...will probably be their biggest crowd ever as well.

  • The Outsiders entrance theme was also the theme for the pay-per-view and it was the same theme for Fall Brawl '96. I wonder why WCW did that?

  • Never seen Lugar and Macho in matching Sting pancake face makeup.

  • nearly 15 years ago now...i can't believe it!

  • It dosen't have to be a great match to be great wrestling.

  • The greatest moment in wrestling history era that shock the WORLD. This event made like Hogan,Hall,Nash and Sting the great icons in todays wrestling!!

  • it's weird that it's only been a couple of month apart, but nash in WCW was much less in shape than in wwf

  • @ROCKNINJA777 I remember in a nash interview he was talking about steroids and the wwf. Since the money in wcw was guaranteed, their was no reason to risk your health and do them.

  • listen up scheme gene.

    haha i love the outsiders!

  • this was so scripted it look fake.they could did better than that

  • Mach flew upto that top rope at 8:45

  • The is a truc classic wrestling moment

  • @EricVG1985 true

  • i still get chills watching this match and remembering it. fuck the wwe and its pg bullshit, THIS is pro wrestling, when it still meant something and could still keep the fans on the edge of their seat

  • is it just me or did Hall start shrinking a little while he was in WcW?? He looks pretty tall her but if you look at later WcW matches he looks a little smaller.

  • All three of the announcers really sold this. Shiavone and Dusty were all emotional, and Heenan injected some paranoia and fear. Really great great stuff.

  • thats randy anderson

  • whose referee in this match?

  • Nick Patrick, joined the nWo for a short time I think.

  • thanks

  • Don't thank me I was wrong, I watched the whole thing and they said his name, I can't recall it now, I do recall that Bischoff had an angle where he fired him in front of his kids and all.

  • Randy Anderson!

  • Randy Anderson or Nick Patrick?

  • Tony Schiavone, Bobby Henan and Dusty Rhodes are the best combination of commentators since Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura. they really sold this match!!

  • Comment removed

  • this was when wrestling was in its prime. these years were the greatest!

  • @goose2123 Kinda ironic how down the road the 3 competitors for the Outsiders eventually joined the NWO.

  • I honestly thought it was going to be Bret Hart.

  • I like how after Hall and Nash got to the ring, they started playing Sting's music briefly to before they stopped it because they almost forgot to have Gene Okerlund ask about the 3rd guy. Nice technical fuck-up on the backstage technician's part.

  • It's fun going back and watching this now knowing what it led to. Great stuff, too bad wrestling, whether it's WWE or TNA, is pretty much a joke now.

  • This match made of history!

  • LMAO at dusty rhodes "who be bad na?"

  • WTF??? luger and macho had face paint?

  • Being as vulnerable to suggestion as I was, I thought after Luger got KO'ed that he was faking and that HE was the third man. Then Hogan came out, and after he legdropped Savage, my jaw just dropped to the floor.

I had been mostly a WWF fan, but due to the shocking turn of Hogan, I watched WCW almost exclusively for the next year or so.

  • same here.

  • The GREATEST MATCH in ALL wrestling history. 'Nuff Said.

  • Comment removed

  • this was the greatest storyline ever in wrestling. and th enwo orignal 3 are the best 3some ever. hall nash hogan..............2 sweettt!!!

  • HULK HOGAN YOU CAN GO STRAIGHT TO HELL...

I don't think any one person in the world knew just how big this angle would be.

  • i watched it live....wcw was on fire then!!

it was the most unexpected angle in wrestling history!!!!

  • i will never forget seeing this on PPV

  • this was the best moments in wrestling history, i was watching more wcw than wwf when the outsiders & nwo were making there invasion, after hulk hogan betrayed them i just couldn't stop watching it till it all ended

  • Leading up to this, I thought Savage was the third man. With the possibilities of Okerlund, Heenan, and even the Warrior. I never suspected Hogan. The best kept secret ever. It's just cute how Sting was wrote out of the story so the the nWo could take it's course. And a WCW without Sting didn't last very long did it?

  • The greatest match in WCW history. This was what made WCW #1 for two years.

  • absolutely epic.

  • how does hogan get injerd he does like 5 moves in a match then show boats for 10 hogan suck and will always suck but that masked wrestler who copied his style and rocked those 20 inch patriots was awsom I think mr. America was his name. n.wo 4 life.

  • lolz u retard Mr America was Hogan

  • it was obviously a joke everybody knew he was hogan I mean the 20 inch Patriots come on.

  • this was huge back in 96 when luger got knocked out i thought it was going to be him as the 3rd man but i secretly hoped it was going to be savage

  • I love how Hall keeps his Cuban accent even though he is no longer Razor Ramon.

  • hey yo

  • @marykae08 thats why WWE issued that law suit seeing as the "Razor" character was licensed under WWE

  • Why they ever got rid of sting's first entrance theme and put this crap in is way beyond me. One of the best singles wrestlers of all time and they were switching up a good theme song. I can understand the black crow switch, but this song sucked.

  • Ummm.... Sting's 1st WCW theme was a generic nothing song out of the TBS background music library. "Man Called Sting" was produced by WCW for him.

  • Man, I miss those good days in WCW.

Man, Bobby "the brain" and Double A Anderson anounces were bad play by play in WCW. Don't talk during Michael Buffer's ring anouncement. Just common sense. But, Good Story angle!

  • You will never seen a Greater storyline than the N.W.O . Never again will you get that in wrestling history.
