@brokeherlittlebones you would use a "when touching sprite ___" or "when touching color ___" etc plus a stop script (in commands section)

Instead of doing:

"if-touching sprite2-or-touching sprite3-or-touching sprite4"

You could just put:

"if touching color:*black*"

@chicopapass if your gun firing mechanism is linked to one script, like a keypressed, try putting a "repeat 1 time" block around it and that should limit it.

But i made a test game where the enviroment was a line on the bottom, a linegoing up and a line at the top, so basically a floor, a wall and a ledge. My sprite runs straight through the ledge.

When up arrow pressed

point in direction 0

move ten steps

when down arrow pressed

point in 180

move 10 steps

the rest is easy

@SheerkoolGlitching What key do you have associated with jumping? up, space, etc. Check if you have any other scripts involving that key, by accident, it could be blocking it.

@teddybigfoot123 try downloading the exact script in the description first, just to make sure, and if it's not that, its a script attached to another sprite that its touching, possibly the floor.

@dieselblue9 All you'd have to do is make a visible or invisible sprite sitting in a certain spot in the level, and then "when sprite x (player) touches, broadcast "new level"" Then set the level to hide when it receives it, and a new level to show.

im making a game and im having a few problems. so i made a few platforms that my character can succesfully jump on but when he walks off the platform he doesnt fall down to the ground and he is just floating in mid air. also the character can jump forever even in air so do you have any solutions to these problems?

@vjb1994 Yeah, there are a couple ways to stop that from happening. Are you using the method above? Or a different one? If its different, just make sure the variable is set to move towards the ground unless touching the platforms or jump key is being used. If you are using the above method, I'd be happy to just send you the script, to make sure its working!
