Not sure what you mean about labels. The Velvets are cult legends because in the late '60s, when almost everyone on the West Coast was doing sickly vocal stuff with lame lyrics and four-part harmonies, in NYC the Velvets were playing LOUD, unlit, dressed in black, backs to the audience, surrounded by visuals, with simulated drugs use and bondage on stage, the drummer hammering on an oil drum, John Cale playing an electric viola with bass guitar strings so it 'sounded like a jet plane', etc.

@RussMoxham look, i put the video up for the editing purposes, not so that people could attack it with comments such as " why a jonas brother with velvet underground? are you comparing them? & what i meant by labels is reputations idk if you'll understand because i can't explain myself very well but i meant people isolate themselves from great music and such because of the background that the artist holds. Some won't listen to the JB's because of their teenage bg.

@jonasgirl705 Well, as far as I understand this, yes, some people probably do reject them because of the teenage tag. None of it much matters--it's only entertainment. Anyway I'm sure you can explain yourself perfectly if you give yourself time to think. But obviously if you post videos here, you're likely to get feedback (good, bad, indifferent), and if that's partly because you haven't expressed yourself so everyone understands, that's gonna be a shame for you :/

comparing the jonas bros with the velvet underground is a terrible statement to make. the velvet underground were manufactured, like the jonas brothers. but we're talking andy warhol compared to disney. the jonas bros have 0 credibility.

@PepeLeBear well the jb began their career before disney, and well it's hard to explain but people tend to go with names, if you know what i mean, they make assumptions & close their minds. people like certain bands because they have a certain reputation that;s why many don't listen to the Jonas Brothers, they have a bg of younger mostly female fans. & i'm not the one comparing. NO ONE is the same. :)
