  • that was awesome.

  • looks like a fantastic way to injure yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • how terrible would it be if he tore his other bicep, try explaining that one to the doc

  • other than lifting weight, are you good at science or math felix?

  • @hassan1255 He's better at skimming walls and lifting things than you will ever be :D

  • @mankillsquare lifting things is not impressive. and lifting a 429lbs barbell doesn't mean you can pick up an object such as a bike with 1 hand. and by the way i asked felix not you.

  • @hassan1255 And lifting a bike with one hand is impressive is it? I don't understand your logic. I'm pretty sure Mark could pick up a bike with one hand too. Seeing as this video bears no relation to science or maths I assume your comment is meant as a thinly veiled sleight at Mark's perceived lack of academic talent, I have no idea. I do however understand that he is a thoroughly pleasant gentleman, hard-working, and strong as a bull. Qualities which I suspect you yourself may lack. I'm out!

  • @mankillsquare im not saying he's not a nice guy. plus, don't compare the strength of animals to humans. a bull's neck alone has the power to flip a car.

  • u mad bro?

  • ANIMAL

  • @MrGoldfish1984 which animal? a squirrel?

  • @hassan1255 can squirrels lift 429lbs with a single arm....I think not.

    Perhaps a Silver-back Gorilla.

  • @MrGoldfish1984 haha. please read about gorillas and become smarter. a gorilla's strength can only be compared to at least 4 weighlifters.

  • @hassan1255 Hassan really sorry I have not got my Animal to human strength ratio in order, however I think I was closer than your guess being a squirl.

Now stop being a pest and picking fights..good lad.

  • @MrGoldfish1984 haha so funny

  • i wish people took strongmen like mr. felix more seriously, they don't get half the respect they deserve

  • the hand that shook the world.

  • Wasn't supriesed. Its normal when AC/DC is playing in the background.

  • Just a good job 429lb isn't 'heavy' ...

  • Amazing breh!

  • chiieeet!

  • So impressive man! Love the fact that your humble as well. I could only imagine how it feels to lift that. You should be proud and you deserve it.

  • Good work Mark. I saw your hummer deadlift video earlier, incredible man!

  • Strong grip man!!

  • holy shit....he is a BIG MAN

  • 4 dislikes = phil phister, kevin nee, marius pudnowski and brian shaw lol!!!!

  • @czoraa21 They'd probably like it actually; this sport is full of camaraderie.

  • @xjusticex2013x its a joke dude relax......

  • @czoraa21 K

  • I saw Mark at the Arnold a year ago, he is absolutely HUGE. I don't think two of my hands could properly shake one of his...and what a nice guy! Hope the injury has healed properly.

  • is this the guy that does worlds strongest man?

  • @30Drod it is I

  • @MarkFelixTV im a big fan bro

  • world record is 727 lbs by Hermann Goerner. It was ages ago, it's a really old record.

  • good god i can hardly do 300 with both

  • mark felix has to be considered at least in the top ten for all time deadlifters.

  • that is the record with no strapes

  • @madewellpwr1

    Uh, no.

Hermann Goerner pulled something like 700 lb's from the floor with one hand.

  • FAKE.. It is impossible squeze a bar bouncing with 429 lbs!

  • beast..good shit, hope your arm mends.

  • INHUMAN

  • WWTF!!

  • Strong guy. Hopefully he doesn't break the other arm by what he just did.

  • Impressive, not just that he lifted more than many men can lift with two hands but that he did it casually like it was no big deal.

  • RIDICULOUS DUDE!!!

  • For a tall guy, Mark is a phenomena: he blows the vast majority of shorter/better leveraged deadlifting strongmen into the weeds - my favourite Brit strongman by a country mile. Keep up the good work

  • Wouldn't wanna fuck with this guy

  • Serious grip strength to pick it up as well as lifting strength! Fucking badass

  • broken your other arm?

  • best deadlifter in the world

  • @shoffadoffa Jon Pall was the best deadlifter in the world ;)

  • BRUTAL !!!

  • it would be funny to have one well built half and a shit half.

  • BEAST!!!! i can hardly do that with two hands and straps

  • Must be all that rolling thunder training

  • i wish i could do that with two hands rofl

  • You should wear a cape.

  • The amount of forearm strength to keep the wrist straight and the bar from rolling out of your hand is unfathomable to me. You are on a different level Mark.

  • Amazing power! Look up strongman Herman Goerner. He one arm deadlifted 770 pounds back in the 40's I believe. He was said to have 18+ inch forearms held straight out. Still amazing!

  • tried this in the gym last night and i managed 100k lol. B E A S T

  • lol how the fuck did you do that?!! beast

  • what in gods name..

  • lol you do more with one hand than i do with 2

  • haha same :)

  • that is insane , i agree with the below comment

wtf with one hand, what is this guy on man? LOL

    thats insane

  • that insane man

  • i wanna see him do that without any collars on the bar lol. see how well he can keep it straight.

  • what did you do to your arm?

  • I feel sad for the man that has to shake his hand...

  • He didn't use a wrap that is mad grip strength!!

  • lol, is that 405? 1 handed? Fucking guy is a freak. Wow

  • I have only one thing to say

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you have great overall strength and grip out of this world!

  • Holy crap, almost 200 kilos. RESPECT!

  • I would to see you do a dead lift with a size four grapple grip. To see what that is go to the video response and watch the video of the guy pushing the tire.

  • good form, mad strong!!!

  • yeaaahhh!!! gOOd job

  • this dude is lifting my 1RM with 1 hand... i feel sooo weak :(

  • lol what the fuckkk

  • john pall sigmarsson did a one hand deadlift 250 kg ! that's incredible

  • Ekkert mál fyrir Jón Pál

    Iceland for the win

  • really can we see a video of that?

  • dang!

he is deadlifting with one hand what i can dead with two on a good day!

  • it seems like it to me you could realy hurt your self doind that,,,,, and whats witht he odd number?

  • What makes u think u could really hurt urself doing this lift? The odd number in pounds is probaby because the weights hes using are measured in kilos.

  • To be fair, you can. It's unilateral, unbalanced stress. When I perform it my right glute begins to seize up.

  • yeahh i mean i know u can hurt yourself...i do this lift about once every other week and can definitly see if its not performed right u could get hurt so I should have worded my response a little better but this IS Mark Felix so hes got great form and a hella strong back. I guess noone is completely safe from injury though. Whats ur max on this OHDL with no hook?

  • It's unbalanced stress no matter who's pulling the bar or how strong the muscle is. I performed my PB of 110kg / 243lbs an hour ago. Vid is on my channel. I don't use the hook grip.

  • Amazing power and strength, Felix. Great job.

  • is possible... just think a littel the power is all in the back not the arms!! u just need to keep ur hand closed... training back is much much easiers

  • Nope that's not possible. As a weight lifter myself that is not possible.. 429 is not a number u can get even if you use 2.5 pound weights... so that's a lie... sorry

  • 1. What does that have to do with you being a weight lifter

    2. The barbell might weigh something that makes it possible

  • The weights he's using are in kilograms. And are you saying it's not possible for him to really be lifting this much weight or are you just saying 429 is not a possible weight o have on the bar?

  • yeahh its 195 kilos

  • in the UK we use kilograms. 2.2 lbs to 1 kg so 429 divided by 2.2= 195kg

    thats 1 olympic bar at 20kg, 8, 20kg plates, 2, 5kg plates and 2, 2.5kg plates.

    no lies here. T

  • not humanly possible!

  • JEBUS!

  • WOW lol, 429 lbs. is like my 2 hand deadlift

  • ha yal dumb that aint 429

  • woooooooow. I can do the same thing with like... 210. This dudes strong.

  • Best lift that I know is 507 pounds / 230,5 kilos, made by Jon Pall Sigmarsson in 1982. Is that the world record? It was done with an IPF barbell. Mark could break it.

  • Nope Louis Cyr- -no drugs- circa 1901 - 960 pounds off the floor with one hand !!!

  • From what I've read, Hermann Goerner of Germany has the record for the one arm deadlift at around 700+lbs. Do you have a reference for the Cyr lift I could check out? I'm not saying you're lying, I'd just like to read the website, thanks.

  • Hi Jonathan- Louis Cyr was the premier strong men of the 19th -early 20th century. NONE of his world records has been beaten-even by today's steroid freak pseudo-strong men of today. He holds the WR in the single arm db press of 165 lbs for 33 repetitions. And the one arm deadlift ( without straps of course ) of 960 lbs. The iron cross db hold with 100 lb and 95 dbs in each hand for 10 seconds. Valentin Dikul is another great., strongman.

  • I'm well aware of who Louis Cyr was being a Canadian and very interested in all things strength related. It's just that according to many strength historians and people who write for Iron Mind's Milo, Hermann Goerner holds the official record for the one arm deadlift and I've never seen any published claims that refute it.

  • 987 lbs arm and thigh lift as well as a 1897 lbs arm and thigh lift. A 558 lbs one finger deadlift . A WR 220 lbs single arm over head press in strict form. WR 36 repetitions with 162 lbs DB press.

  • yo momma

  • Those are some big ass hands !!!

  • Awesome work, mark.

  • Impressive! Nice lift.

  • u fuckin beast

    awesome lift

  • Thats crazy grip strength!!

  • holy shit

  • That's truly incredible bro...keep it up. You are definitely world class...great vid's...10 stars!

  • hey mark could you tell me your favorite grip workout ?????????????

  • Those hands are awesome

  • grea!but that arent really 429lbs,are they?^^

  • well I can only see 4 plates on each side which would be 405 lbs. He is probably on a different weight system than we are so it may be 429 lbs. Either way it's a lot fukin weight!

  • We have kgs in the uk

  • amazing video ill keep doing pinch plate and ill be able to do that in 5 life!!! amazing grip here!

  • Nice to know your watching and your clearly so passionate about it. thanks!

  • so what hes stil an amazing atlete and is trying who else in the uk could take his spot you ? pfft shut up then

  • Unreal Mark ! What amazes me more is your grip. I wish I had grip strength like that ! There is nothing wrong with training the left side only, he's a strongman competitor not a bodybuilder. Symmetry don't mean sh*t lifting atlas stones !!!!

  • That is fucking incredible - no really. I've seen so many people lifting huge weights a whole millimetre. He didn't even bother straddling the bar but stood infront of it which makes it harder and lifted 429 over a huge range of movement. Bloody hell!

  • just rest man there is no point to training one side of you body..

  • that's quite insane.. :) Excellent lift!

  • WOW!!! You honestly make it look so easy Mark!!!

  • great stuff man....

here are some exercises i found good...

one arm Db / Bb snatch

    1 arm deadlift

1 arm db clean and press

    rolling thunder

1 arm seated rows / rows

    1 arm D bench press

also if u see some of kevin nee0s workout u will see him doing front squats with some good equipment...

    best of luck..

  • oh my gosh...you just blew my mind mr. felix!

  • holy shiz that dude killed that!

  • EASY EASY EASY EASY

  • how the f"" is that possible.

    class

  • felix...i would do anything to have your strength!!!!

  • lol like it when u hear someone say easy, i cant even o that weight with 2 hands :s, and hes injured :p

  • The shear wrist strength needed to control the bar after it started to tilt is probably even more impressive than the lift it's self.

    5 Stars.

  • well done, lots of crazy deadlifts going on now in the strongman community. Can't wait to see what you do once you heal up.

  • holy fk you must have some crazy forearms to do that

  • thats my max with two hands. what the hell, now i feel weak... lol

  • wow!!

  • Class mate well done.

  • tahts still around 300lb off the world record, but that looked easy for you anyways :p

  • Nice lift!

  • Gorner's record was unofficial. His official lift was 663.5lbs.

Although back in the 1920's, genuine official power lifting records are probably pretty hard to come by!!

  • Damn! Mark have you tried and DO axle deadlifts before your injury?

  • wowzer

  • Tremendous power, awesome feat Mark!

  • INSANE grip!!

  • My God! You my friend, are the deadlift king (as if you did not know that already). Nice job.

  • Ridiculous, Mark. Nice lift!

  • Nice work Mark. You need to get healthy, so that someone can give Kevin some good competition.

  • If it is a hook grip then dont give up the day job, otherwise go to the guiness book of records.

  • I'm not sure what the out and out record is but I've done 189-kilos / 418lbs using a hook grip.

  • Hi Mark, Steve Gardener again. Put some Zinc tape on your thumb, straddle the bar and you'll get another 30+ easy.

  • How does this help your grip Steve? Also, is this tip for a hook or convo thumb round bar grip?

    Cheers

    Ken

  • Hook and stops the thumb pad being torn up. I wasn't able to use the tape in competition but would use if for half the session. Otherwise I'd get a tear each time I did it.

  • WHAT!!!!! u r sick! i quit

  • U should probably contact someone who has the inch or millenium dumbell theyll keep u occupied 4 a day or 2.Go to gripboard.

  • oh my god! is that a hook grip?

  • IMPRESSIVE! a lot of men couldn't lift that with both hands let alone 1 :>D

  • hahaha awesome! id be chuffed picking that up with 2 hands!
