i think if the x-men destiny game had multiplayer i think it could have been better it was fun for me i just got bored of playing by myself LA Nore isn't my type of game and i thought Dead Island was really dissapointing it was scary but after a while i got bored...
I must admit, i was also pretty disappointed by bulletstorm. The trailer made it seem like it was some sort of epic fun massacre. When i played it it just felt like every other shooter, i just gave up playing after a few levels because i couldn't stand how repetitive it got.

I found that Saints Row The Third was kinda disappointing, because as fun as the weapons and stuff where the world just felt... dead. It felt like fooling around was boring. The only thing to keep it boring was the number of weapons to play with. The leveling system just didn't feel right for this kind of game. Along with killing off a fan favorite character off screen in the very beginning of the game, short story, and the shit load of cut content, I am disappointed.

My most disapointing games were games like dungeon siege, lotr war in the north, the cursed crusade, hunted demons forge and stuff like that... I now know that making a game with bows and swords and monsters and those kind of things is no easy job....Luckily we also got dark souls this year, oh and skyrim
I guess I would have to go with Red Faction Armageddon. I absolutely loved Guerrilla. I was excited to hear there was going to be another Red Faction game, only to find out it's much more linear, and the multiplayer I was so madly in love with was completely dropped. I haven't played the full game, just the demo, which I did enjoy. It seems like it would be a very fun game, I would just much rather have Guerrilla 2.

@ironbull2003 I think most people who bought it expected it to be at least half decent. To find out you've bought one of the worst games of the year would be slightly disappointing, it'd at least be more disappointing than LA Noire, which only real failings were it's linearity and it's ending. Duke nukem forever has practically nothing good to say about it at all, even after all the hype it received prior to release.
@UltimateChance is it that bad? I ordered it, but I know what to expect since I've played the other Dukes...the hype was for Duke Nukem's return, not for Duke to come back and shit all over other FPS's.
Of course it's not going to compete with some shooters today, since that's not the point. I do hear that they tried to make this new one a COD clone however with the weapons and health respawn but I'm still reserving judgement until I play it.

I think people assumed L.A Noire was going to be fantastic due to it being supposedly by R* but it was primarily made by Team Bondi, they did most of the work on the game. Judging by the upcoming 2 R* games to come out (Max Payne 3 and GTA V) my rockstar love hasn't died yet.

@redmanbin honestly LA Noire WAS a kind of disappointment. And I was excited for it as well, I did pre-order it, and I still have it. Spent 7 hours but put it off to play other titles and focus on exams.
It does look great, and if you limit yourself to watching gameplay vids or even spend half an hour on a mission, it would seem GOTY material but it's not...it has its own flaws when trying something new...If they make LA Noire 2, it will be a masterpiece. LA Noire is still good but c'mon.

mw3.i personally dont care about mutiplayer.but i was as into the campaign as i was in mw2 or black ops.it was so blah!story sucked too.not really shocked in anything that happened.still funny how its the best fps campaign this yr imo

My most disapointing games were games like dungeon siege, lotr war in the north, the cursed crusade, hunted demons forge and stuff like that... I now know that making a game with bows and swords and monsters and those kind of things is no easy job....Luckily we also got dark souls this year, oh and skyrim

I guess I would have to go with Red Faction Armageddon. I absolutely loved Guerrilla. I was excited to hear there was going to be another Red Faction game, only to find out it's much more linear, and the multiplayer I was so madly in love with was completely dropped. I haven't played the full game, just the demo, which I did enjoy. It seems like it would be a very fun game, I would just much rather have Guerrilla 2.

@ironbull2003 I think most people who bought it expected it to be at least half decent. To find out you've bought one of the worst games of the year would be slightly disappointing, it'd at least be more disappointing than LA Noire, which only real failings were it's linearity and it's ending. Duke nukem forever has practically nothing good to say about it at all, even after all the hype it received prior to release.

@UltimateChance is it that bad? I ordered it, but I know what to expect since I've played the other Dukes...the hype was for Duke Nukem's return, not for Duke to come back and shit all over other FPS's.
Of course it's not going to compete with some shooters today, since that's not the point. I do hear that they tried to make this new one a COD clone however with the weapons and health respawn but I'm still reserving judgement until I play it.

@UltimateChance I won't be one of those fanboys that defends it for being 'humorous'..in my opinion I think the real appeal is that the games have always sucked, they've always been cheesy and pokes fun at itself but that's why it's fun. Not killing terrorists or nazi's or stereotypical Russians on screen, but fingering aliens lol.
I will say though, that all that cheesyness and jokes and silly gameplay packaged together even after 14 years is NOT worth 60 bucks, maybe that's why all the hate?

@EffectiveKill dud, it was the worst ending I have seen in a while. The ending makes you feel like you accomplished nothing. So does the end of each major case. It didn't have to end happy. I just wanted it to end on a high note.

I think people assumed L.A Noire was going to be fantastic due to it being supposedly by R* but it was primarily made by Team Bondi, they did most of the work on the game. Judging by the upcoming 2 R* games to come out (Max Payne 3 and GTA V) my rockstar love hasn't died yet.
