I purchased my 2008 SX4 Sport Touring 02/15/2008 and don't regret this purchase. Currently I've driven 46.5 K miles without one single problem other then a dome light bulb failure! Love the 348 watt, 9 speaker with subwoofer, 6 CD changer sound system!
Manuals are out dated and annoying. Its old technology. The 2011 Suzuki SX4 Sedan is a car for smart people who knows that all you need in a car is to get around. The SX4 can achieve a good 25 mpg. All for just $15,425.
@tnguyen318 Ah, you're just can't drive one. Trust me, I drive the touring model with a 6 speed manual and it is the most fun car I have ever driven. You just have to get used to it.
Driving a car isn't fun unless youre doing something thrilling. Fun is like going out with a bunch of girls. Fun is like going on a roller coaster. Fun is a much more different meaning than enjoying. If your face is smiling and happy, then I guess you're having fun.
I bought a 2009 Sx4 sport technology last Feb. and had someone hit me and total it in Jan of this year.... It saved my life with the way he hit me so i went and got another 2009 Suzuki Sx4 sport touring. I love these cars. They have that amazing sport look and that great speed.... Love SUZUKI SX4 Sport...
My wife had the base model Aveo crashed it lol then got this with the insurance check, she LOVES it she got the automatic and got the sub under the driver seat and very responsive suspension and great breaks, the only thing i dont like is its slow off start, but although i live 4,500 above havent driven it down any lower, but other than that its a really great car drives great in bad or good weather
Excellent review - I bought a 2008, and agree with all the pros and cons you detailed in the review. I would add that, if you can look past the fact that it's not as well known as its competitors, you'd be getting a great car for the value.
@kbb From my understanding the SX4 sedan is based on a stretched Swift platform and has similar handling characteristics. Of course I wouldn't mind a Swift over here as well. Poor man's MINI.
I used it for a day and I must say I was really impressed. The handling is awesome and feels extremely solid. It's really as fun to drive as everyone say (even more than a Civic and years ahead of the soft and boring Sentra and Corolla). I'm getting the Wagon since I really need the space but this is a great Sedan.
We've had ours for over a year. No regrets. gas mileage is good.. but then again teh terrain around here is rather flat. 300 HW / 275 approx, City , on a single tank is ok by me. Besides it's hella fun to drive.
I just bought one a week ago, not a single regret. One thing I have to say is that the mileage estimates are off a bit.Mine makes a good 23-25 mpg city while on highway about 34.I opted for the 5 speed.I love the warranty that came with it,and if u bargain enough as I did, u will get free oil changes for life provided by the dealer of your choice.I have to say this is a great car and alternative.
@amitp2 Still not a single regret! Trust me it's an awesome little car. Mine already has 28,000 miles because I took some Chicago-L.A drives. Go for it :).

"not everyone has 30 thousand dollars to buy a new car"
that's the reason we are all broke is that mentality. WHY DOES EVERYONE NEED TO BUY A 30 K car????

is this car better than the swift sport?
Djjeanresident 1 year ago
@Djjeanresident The Swift is not available in the U.S., so unfortunately we've been unable to test the two back-to-back.

Would you recommend it? I am thinking about it.
