Ahhhh, I keep shooting myself in the foot with this. On the one hand, I want to beat the game 'legit' by only consulting the faq when I NEED to(I kind of ignore faqs on instinct really). But then there are times like that, where I miss out on an item because I had no idea about that sort of thing... ah well.

I wish this game had an in-game map, though. (Even FF1 had that.) I keep getting lost at sea what with the high encounter rate and all...

YOU SOLD THE BLAST RING? :O Holy crap... It's like the other best lufia ring ever. I can't believe you sold it. Why? It makes it so easy to deal with any large groups very very soon. It's more obscene in my opinion than the Flash ring. In fact, I'd daresay it makes Lufia the most powerful character in party.

Another great vid, HC! I like that idea of the Isle of Forfeit having a shop that holds all the stuff you've sold over the course of the game. Kinda makes me wish that was in more RPGs. Sure, the novelty of the idea would wear off, but it'd still be cool. :) Keep up the brilliant work! Looking forward to the next one!

I love how subtly the four colours of the SNES buttons were incorperated into most SNES games (Forfeit's floors, the four characters hair colours etc)

HCBailly, I'm just playing Lufia 2 again because it's my favorite SNES game at all. I'm really looking forward to your let's play of it and i want to know:

What are your plans with the ancient cave in the LP and are you going for the Gades Blade in the first Encounter with the Sinistral?

@Bapfal I'd think he won't get the Gadesblade. It's been a while but I assume you can hardly get it with the zero grinding HC tends to use. But on the other hand, maybe he'll prepare something from a new game+ (or you can get it without grinding and I just never tried hard enough)

Though, I'm curious what he'll do about the ancient cave. Maybe a sneak peak in the main game and a bonus episode at the end or so. (?)

@Kato86 I got the Blade with an actual grinding time of maybe 15 minutes or so in the tower. Before that I didn't levelgrind at all. It was actually a lot easier than i remembered it being.

Althogh I used the slot machine in the casino to get around 20 statues - that took some time, but you don't have to do anything at all but keeping the up-button pressed.

So I think it's quite possible to show the Gades Blade in a LP. It's a bit overporered though ;)

Don't you use the repel waters HC? (i believe the sweet-water worked as a repel for monsters.)
