Do you HEAR what Roy is doing in this song? This man is a genius! He holds tension in his notation until RIGHT before his solo....THEN hits you with that one sweet note. GOODNESS!!!!! Song is awesome....*melts*

Gorgeous tone and articulation and the introduction to this beautiful melody is exquisite. I don't think any trumpeter since Miles interprets standards with the sensitivity that Roy Hargrove brings. Certainly not Wynton, and probably not even Terrence Blanchard.
