I love this song, I love Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline, but this song performed by Patsy has something different, special, some kind of magic!!! Mathias Naganuma (Brazil)
My name is Mathias Naganuma and I'm from Brazil. I have really special moments and memories in my life that goes together with this incredible song. As our friend up here said, Crazy will always be on my Jukebox.
I'm old enough to remember hearing Patsy's songs on the radio: this & Wayward Wind. I didn't know who she was, but AM radio played her stuff over & over.
@CocteauDalighari I had a similiar experience. She had a haunting, beautiful voice that is among a select few greatest of all time, that includes any country, any language, any race.
I believe if Willie hadn't written Crazy, neither Patsy nor Willie would have been household names today. Truly a magic moment in music history. It's wonderful to hear Willie say Patsy's recording of the song he wrote, is his favorite recording of all time. Not many would disagree with it being an all time favorite. Bravo to both Willie Nelson, and Patsy Cline!
with out a doubt an excellent song writer and performer but when he wrote Crazy if he had never had Patsy Cline record her version of his song it would have been just another song she gave it the magic that captured you in a spell for over 40 years !
@louisemusiclover You are right about the song writer and the performer, there will be no others like either one of these artists, but to say this song would have been "just another song" is slighting the ability of Willie Nelson's prolific career in song writing. The song has been covered by COUNTLESS people and was destined to be a hit. Again, we agree on everything...except you need to give the SONG ITSELF a little credit. It deserves it.
