  • and when you are in space

  • this reminds me of the scene of S&P 2 on the volcano fighting the crusier

  • This is much better Shiggy, it looks like Under Defeat but in 3d.

  • @ksvillani

Glad you mentioned that game, my man, glad you mentioned that awesome game.

  • how do u slash in this game??? i have it for VC and use the classic controler??

  • Whatever button you use to shoot, quickly tap it instead of holding it. It only works when you're up close to an enemy.

  • THANK YOU

  • So, would this game be recommended for virtual console?

  • HELL FUCKING YES! This is one of the greatest games EVAH!

  • but in the video didn't appeared the last part, when a "ball" is falling to the sea... because i didn't continue in this part =S

  • what class of carrier is that?

  • I bought this on Virtual Console. Awesome game but man...it was confusing and very short.

    I'm gonna get S&P 2 though.

  • How much was it on VC?

  • Like 1700, 200 points more than the other N64 games cuz they had to translate it.

  • 1200 points in the UK

  • @Unknownsage13 Its better thanthis one my main reason is you dont have to cycle from 50 weapons and a awesome shooter.

  • Isn't it easier to just have it on homing mode, so you have less of a chance of taking damage, and so that you an focus on dodging?

  • You do more damage with the normal shot.

  • That's the only way I can do it without dying X3

  • Then there is no way you can beat this on Hard mode, if that is important to you at all. Seeing as the homing shot is weaker and on Hard mode every enemy is stronger thus you run out of time before you can defeat them with the lock on shot. The IR aiming in Part 2 of Sin and Punishment is fix all that.

  • Oh......T^T

  • But really, sometimes, if I don't feel like breaking my thumbs, I will usually play on Normal mode and use the Lock-on shot. Even a twitch gamer like me can appreciate playing a game like this and chilling out a little^-^

  • Yeah, I'm not dedicated enough to do Hard mode, so I just try to do speedruns on normal :P

  • The Last stage on Turbo is so Hard.

  • @mrmonkeymans yeah there is that part where you have to destroy the planet with the normal shot. but I used the lock on shot so I was stuck on it for the longest time

  • lol

  • That last part I could never do without taking damage....It's Better protected than the Death Star!

  • its crazy how fast it is on this mode! I can't believe what Treasure managed to pull off on the N64.

  • Treasure... one of my faves toghether with Valve and Monolith... Amazing stuff :)

  • Does anyone have any downloadable music from this game?

  • [w3 DOT mrmonkeyman DOT com/treasure/ost/sinandpunishment.rar]

  • ok sweet cheers for that

  • is this game two player and if so how does it work ?

  • Well it's like this: The player will control the character, while the other player will control the cursor and fire. Alright?

  • My comments got lost since I had to post two back to back and apparently did it a little too quickly. Anyway, it has nothing to do with "hype" as so many ignorantly exclaim. Those that have only scratched the surface of the game really have no place to call it "hype." It may not be your cup of tea, but mindless "out and out blasting fun" isn't mine either. There has to be substance. Sin and Punishment has it, but Radiant Silvergun has a hell of a lot more.

  • First of all, I wouldn't consider RS to be "pure out and out blasting." It's a methodical shooter and requires lots of replay to uncover everything the game has to offer. Due to its maximalist nature, there are tons of ways to take down any particular enemy. But the depth lies in the fact that, with each of the seven available attacks at any time, one attack is more efficient to attack a given enemy than others. Learning these intricacies and taking advantage of the combo system,

  • Its a good thing this is on the wii now people can see one of treasures GEMS!! dont waste your money on Radiant Silvergun get this its more fun!! and tht is what it's all about.I still own my copy for the n64 and would never part with it :)

  • Pardon me? Don't "waste" money on Radiant Silvergun? Sin and Punishment is a great game and one of the best games of its kind, but it shouldn't even be compared to Radiant Silvergun in that light. Radiant Silvergun is a shmup with so much depth that it can take years to discover all it has to offer. As great as Sin and Punishment is, it can't even approach that kind of depth. You and I have differing views on "fun."

  • Your entitled to your view but ive played and still own many great shmups and RS just doesn't cut it for pure out and out blasting fun!! Maybe i was playing it wrong? -maybe you could show where i went wrong?

  • which requires lots of memorization, in conjunction with the leveling system, adds an unbelievable amount of depth for a shmup.

Sin and Punishment is much more basic, relying on high kill counts and bonuses for a high score. This relies on memorization to know where enemies will come from and who to shoot first. The dodging aspect does give the game some depth in regards to the gameplay, but it just doesn't compare to Radiant Silvergun (in respect to different sub-genres).

  • I must agree. Radiant Silvergun just isn't very fun.

  • I think alot of people get sucked in by the hype and the graphics, because it did look good but thts it,but they did make up for it with ikaruga ;)

  • It isn't that RS isn't fun. It's Hard is a unfun way. While Sin and Punishment makes me Mad when I play it on Hard mode with Turbo Frame skin, it still has that", I must do this!" affect on me. Reguardless how much I scream at the S&P, this Game is so fair in a Hard fun way, I eargerly wait for what Treasure will develope for the Wii, that could sit next to Sin and Punishment within my Wii channels.

  • @Vtwinsp1 Poorfag can't afford Radiant? ;_;
