  • Mike and Les Claypool should both start a band together. They are without a doubt 2 of the best musicians in the world.

  • 2:21 I... *fart*

  • 2:20 The more tools I have in my arse-- *Video buffers*

*Starts laughing like a fucking immature retard*

  • Mike Patton rules, Crank 2 sucked ass.

  • Genius

  • all those toys were probably used on suspended animation from fantomas haha

  • Lovage seems to be my current favorite mike patton band...

  • Quite simply the man is a modern day motzart there is no other way to describe him.

A huge talent indeed. Toys? I would not know where to start jesus!!!!!!!!

  • @davenight Agree 100%

  • im glad hes music is that amazing it became part of crank im happy for that :D

  • fuck you mike patton

  • Hello, my name is Mike Patton.

    No need to Introduce Yourself...

  • Figures a gay little British fag like you would come up with such out dated shit you look like Ronald McDonald on crack you fucking no talent little shit!!!!!

  • Yeah he is "Clarabelle" what are you going to do about it absolutley nothing but sit there like a lame sad little gay boy and keep talking to yourself because nobody here gives two shits about what you have to say so put your opinion back where it belongs up your' pretentious cunt.

  • Kocham go

  • Is it a coincidence this video is 3:33 long and the user's name ends in 33...3?!

  • @BenCrocker yes

  • @BenCrocker No

  • @BenCrocker spoony

  • friggin brilliant. i'd watch an interview with mike patton about how he cuts his lawn-i'm sure he has some unconventional ideas about that too.

  • Musical genius.....

  • toys. awesome.

  • Face it: this man is a musical/vocal genius ...

  • a viola!!!

  • Surely great artists do what they want but Fisher Price toys from someone who recorded Angel Dust? Maybe it's a deeply hidden statement like "your punksploitation profitmaking scheme deserves no better" etc. Anyways this whole 8-bit retro thing just isn't, how should I say, EPIC dammit!

  • I luv Michael Allan Patton-ur a fuckin' beautiful genius baby :)

  • I noticed he also uses a SID Station, based upon the same sound chip found in the Commodore 64 :)

  • hes the man

  • Patton is amazing!!

  • Is patton using PC based NUENDO??? I hope not :)

  • @johnsull66

Quite possibly. He was rocking a Roland DJ70 mkII ( proto groove sampler type keyboard) from '96 well into the '00s and I wouldn't doubt that he still rocks that thang to this day. Whatever works for you to get the ideas out of your head and into sound I guess. There are still folks making badass tracks w/ Ataris (and not just chiptunes guys either.

That said I would kill a baby to spend a couple weeks showing him the joys of Ableton.

  • Fuck! I want a pair of Genelec, too! :]

  • Say what mike, crank 2 what the hell, lame bro lame!

  • crank flo w

  • thanks for the download link!

  • I LOVE this man. "No such luck" ... "They said it would be the same... times a thousand".... hahahaah!

  • too bad its a crap movie

  • too bad its a shit movie

  • I always liked Patton better in Mr. Bungle than F.N.M. as a matter of personal preference.

  • Ive liked F.N.M sinse 'we care a lot' came out and thought their music was more important than just the singer when Patten first joined, but I was blown away at how good he is.

Plus he doesnt play the fame game which always helps in my opinion. I saw a comment saying he was gay (in the sexual sense), is that right? not that it would make any difference above knowing if someone was lying or not because I wouldnt care if he is, I cant see him tracking me down for a date! The answer would be no.

  • @dortyhoor he's not gay. he's divorced. he was on loveline talking about it a year or two ago. he was married to some italian girl.

  • this guy is garb

  • @WallerJared28 and your mother is a street whore. What is your point exactly?

  • Lakeshore Records= Rich people who now obviously like to be selfish instigators for taxpayers who still manage to support their production? Need I say more?

  • @thothrespa You are right! Thanks for watching. :)

  • @Speedfreak333 not a problem.

  • I what kind of way are you refering to this video...is it not a little bit unappropiate to talk about money and the bussines when the point here is the process of creativity?

Right, money and creativity go hand in hand...but what in all means are you pointing at?

The artist who are doing their job (and very well)?...the record company who are doing their job (even if the music industry giant has fallen)?

  • This guys trash.

  • @irishthug6 Fuck you dude! You could not be anymore wrong!

  • @larry52333 oh larry, so young and foolish. i remember when i started listening to music. cute exclamation points by the way

  • @larry52333 Dear Larry, thanks for the energy you put into your cute little essay/ struggling musician rage. i dont need to insult you, you did that for me. i wonder what people will think of you when they read this... ha glad im not you. this is probably good for the band anyway.

    bye buddy!! ttyl. ;)

  • @irishthug6 Is your channel suspended or something? I can't block you. God help me get this cancer off my youtubez.

  • figaccione!

  • What are those monitors in his studio?

  • @evilempire96 genelecs 1031a

  • Genius

  • He's true musician, i'm proud of him.

  • Can you PLEASE delete this video of our copyrighted content? We've been trying to contact you for MONTHS!!

  • it looks like patton has a nice house xD,

  • he needs to loose the stache /soulpatch !

  • Please pull this copyrighted video down- or link to the itunes link to buy the album instead of your bootleg site!

  • @AcousticHitsSongs Posted that from wrong YouTube account

  • im dying to get my hands on the song at 2:15

  • love patton, but what a shit movie.

  • MIKE PATTON IS SATAN

  • Heh I've done that too- sang to my answer phone to keep an idea! awesome!

  • I've looked up to Mike Patton since the late 80's. Some argue he's an arrogant bastard, some say he's a nice guy. I don't care ... he's a talented musician, thinks unconventionally, and moves forward regardless of what a few asshurt fans might say. :P I'm really glad to see he's settled into a niche that allows him to become a well-seasoned artist.

  • MUSIC FUN.... LA LA LA LA LAAAAAA

  • There are limited people that God blessed with more talent than others. Sometimes those people are a little strange. Sometimes those people are a guy like Mike Patton.

  • he is so awesome. I mean he is just so freaking awesome. I wish more people in this world realized that

  • he has talent.

  • Fukn Legend , love all his workings,,,,,

  • Ahhh, I love that mutherfucker.

  • Hmm, I'm watching this video after watching the interviews from Angel Dust in 1992/93.

He sure got his teeth fixed.

  • I can't believe Mike Patton has a SidStation! :O

  • genial :D

  • Its really awesome to get a slight look at his home studio and his instruments and toys.

  • How nice advertising for illegal downloading - on an allready illegal ripped video, and on an allready half-corrupted website ;-)

  • Kiss My Ass ! I offered illegal download possibilites, BUT I wrote on the page that Do not just download the music! You should buy it ! I always buy the CDs but if such a prolific artist like John Zorn or Mike Patton release an album there is a chance that it's shit so I say download the music (give a chance) and if you like it than go an fucin' buy it.

PS: Sorry. My english is not the best! I'm just 16.

  • good point speedfreak, sometimes a sample is required to see if it appeals. or sometimes this sort of under the radar music can only be ordered from overseas by some independent music store and usually costs half of my weekly wage. Most of the time it isn't readily available to me unless I download it. Poor people like music too!

  • @xDiscipleOfTheWatchx Thanks !! I don't have lunch money 'cause of my music addiction :D

  • @Speedfreak333 Not to be mean...so please don't take it that way but in my eyes-(and ears) Mike Patton does not write, play or sing anything that would be considered "shit"..he is way ahead of his time~always has been!always will be!! That is just my oppinion though!--:) PEACE!

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl You are right !

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl its a very good opinion you have.

  • @Speedfreak333 but did you offer ANY buy links at all? we dont see any...

  • @LakeshoreRecords No I didn't. I just simply wrote a note next to every free links that You must buy the album because of the respect for the musician and because its a much better experience to open a new album and read it, see the pictures in it and enjoy the typo, the smell, or to keep a real piece of art in your hands, than just download it.

  • now i have to watch Crank 2

  • Don't, it's rubbish

  • @kowtpr187

hahahahha...me too, I didn't wanna see it, but I guess we're gonna have to do our homework! :D

  • Love this guy, has made some legendary music

  • Patton is the new Zappa.

  • i was thinking that minutes ago!

  • That is a excellent description!!!

  • And Zappa is the old Patton

  • @jeandepaul what??????haha--does that mean?

  • he claims he has never even heard Zappa. im thinking thats bullshit

  • Its because his music sound so much like Zappa... he'd have to pay royalties to the Zappa trust if he admitted it.

  • @BrunswickBuyer

    i listen to both bands.

to draw inspiration from someone does not mean they have to pay roylties.

it's called acknowledging your genre's roots, and since he has done that, there really isn't anything else he has to do.

  • I'm thinking I want his dick in my mouth!

  • @misscarolinec i want his dick in my mouth too , but i am a 63 year old man...is that still cool?

  • @otentas if that's what does it for ya ;)

  • @misscarolinec you again!!! you and me have the same brain o: i loved his music before i knew what he had looked like. he has a sexy voice and a face and body to match! sooo yeah i want him to fuck my face too =3

  • @KeroseneKid2019 Were hilarious!! :D Cheers you!

  • @HammerMovie You KNOW IT!!! Where did you hear that by the way?? My mom say's "How can you be in the music business and not hear of Zappa?" Just watch-if I ever meet patton and he finds out that my last name is Zappa.. he'll be all over me-hahaha--seriously.(Front me if you if you like)

  • @picklerammin I am amazed-7 seconds after telling my mom that I feel Patton most likely has a huge inspiration from Frank---I read your comment-(same genere of musical talent)--Though Frank is grandaddy to all!-- RIP Frank!

  • me too

  • I didn't want to see Crank 2; now I want to. Patton is god!

  • Mike Patton is amazing. He was born amazing.

  • @missuscramer

When he came out of his mother's womb -- he jolted forward re-mixed the hospital's waiting room music. All of the doctor's eyeballs EXPLODED.

  • @jenknee88 hahaha

  • @jenknee88 fuck you biblefucker... GORGOROTH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jenknee88 dude he was composing INSIDE the womb, can i get an amen!!!

  • @missuscramer amen to that brother!!!

  • @missuscramer fuck Mohammed, fuck jesus Christ, fuck Budah, is all about MIKE PATTON!

  • yeah MP is so creative, with all the bands he already plays, creating stuff for movies I'm not surprised, he's so good !!!!fucking artist!!

  • nice, he has an atari in there as well! why the fuck doesnt mike patton produce other bands? just think about it, how awesome would it be?

  • He rules. I personally think it would be fucking tricky to create the compositions Patton does and be on drugs all the time. I very much doubt it's a big part of his life. inspiration either way

  • fisher price toys.this guy is amazing.

  • Am I supposed to find the music at 3:18 funny? One of the SFX sounds like a random fart.

  • Haha yeah I hear that.

  • @Andinator

    No.

  • Patton's soundtrack is the best thing about Crank 2, and that's not saying much.

  • thegirl44 is right!!!

  • haha you say mike doesnt do drugs? fuck u need educated "thegirl44" I seen FNM on the reunion tour in europe n he talked about how high he was on coke. Open ur eyes!

  • Coke , Coca Cola...he's not big on drugs or the excess of stardom life...he often mocks it. Probably what he was doing there..course as a Patton fan you already knew that :)

  • I would hate to not have a sense of ironic humour. Wouldn't you, fishdirt?

  • All I know is numerous band members he's had all claim the guy is a workaholic and doesn't really do anything aside from drink beers now and again and a crapload of caffiene. He fits the profile for someone with that and control issues. Don't be surprised if he has a mental break in 5 or 10 years. Great creator in the vein of a Brian Wilson.

  • Or his body rebels like Zappa's did and he gets sick and dies. Genius/madman syndrome is everywhere.

I haven't seen him since the late 90's but I doubt that his work ethic has changed any.

  • The residents probably don't do anything but it'd be hard for anyone to believe based on their music but on the other hand Captain Beefheart probably hit the LSD. John Coltrane made an entire album on LSD. So in the end does it matter who does drugs and who doesn't? People aren't all the same and to assume because a rockstar is a famous rockstar that they are on drugs follows the old saying of what assuming does.

  • Very well said.

  • Funny, I worked for the man for 10 years and never saw him do anything more than drink a shitload of Coca-Cola and smoke the occasional cigarette. "u need educated"...sweet, sweet irony. It just has this taste and this feeling that's almost akin to sex.

  • I read an interview where he said basically "doing a lot of drugs and fucking a different bunch of groupies every night is a full time job".

  • @residue102 ... Yes, I read that too. But what was implied was that he didn't do either of those things. Music was enough of a full-time job for him. Gotta respect him for that. Mike Patton is a musical genius!!!

  • "i was always curious about his exact ethnicity" what a creepy thing to say!

  • Lol "a series of hieroglyphics".

    I love Mike Patton.

  • "one of my weaknesses is to overorchestrate" HA!

If only more muthafuckin musicians had that weakness!

The guy is crazy for overactivating his talent! Thats what He thinks! haha!

  • i agree x10

  • 1:20 :L CLICK IT!

  • This album is a total piece of art in my Patton's collection CD.

  • @InebriatedAssClown You're a complete Loser. There is nothing else for you to do but dabble with suicide.

  • Fucking Genius!

  • You're a prodigy, Mike!

  • the Crank 2 soundtrack is fucking sweet.

  • I read an interview where he said he lives in Hobart, in 2007, maybe he's joking. I think he lives in San Francisco. Anyone knows?

  • panty sniffer

  • yes he lives in san francisco

my mom ran into him at whole foods haha

  • more like he ran into her, with his dick.

  • @Polybun i'll eat your amygdala bitch

  • your mom recognises him? she rocks! haha

  • i have great ideas exactly like this, mike could we have anymore in common?!?! are you spying on me?!?! haha no j/k but man this guy truly is genius!

  • Where does he live? San Francisco?

  • Hobart, IN

  • I love the way he thinks of sounds as much as music

  • Yet it is SO a Mike Patton album. Such a great album.

  • What?? Let me guess you like Wolfmother and Lady Gaga

  • Circuit bending on a movie soundtrack??

I never thought I'd see the day.

  • yep 2:22 quack, get out 'n' walk, dirty sod :)

  • hes trippin lol

  • Nothing more to say....obviously Genius is there, as I always knew Mike P is the best in whatever he touches ...So mad with that Guy!!!!!Living legend!!!

  • This man is a genius. Several times over.

  • Mike (or anybody who knows him reading this - pass it on) You should consider doing an entire dvd for budding sound engineer students/fans. Release it via Ipecac and donate the proceeds to buying insrtuments/recording gear/software for disadvantaged kids. Come on Mike, You were great with the Kids of Widney high... Lets do that dvd... 1 day in your studio...

    Have some fun

You've a natural gift man, you know it, so enhance its worth... give back to the kids - woohoo ! ;-0

    Peace out

    Milo

    Dublin

  • did he fart twice?

  • It is great to see an interview with Mike Patton. I have always been a fan of his work with Faith No More, in particular his vocal work on 'The Real Thing" (the song). He is very down to earth and this is a great insight into his songwriting methods.

  • Is Mike Patton jewish? And how do you know?

  • Mike Patton isn't Jewish. He said that his father is 100% Anglo and his mother is Finnish.

  • @Fetrey: Yeah, but she could be a Finnish Jew, no?

  • How did you find this out?

And Fins are european, no? So wouldnt be be considered 100% anglo? But then not all euros are considered 'anglo' i suppose. I have heard some fins do have a bit of an 'asian look' to them. Patton looks european, but he also looks like he might have a tad of asian in him as well. I was always curious about his exact ethnicity.
