I'm going to Japan this August as a foreign exchange student for a year... I've never once experienced an earthquake. This is going to be one interesting year. O_O
Because I come from Australia, when we went it Japan and felt an earthquake, we had no idea what to do. I've never even felt one before. We were just standing in front of the door, waiting for it to stop.
I just love how the Japanese staff, cared for the old Lady. In spite of the situation, she stayed with her. It was heart warming. i would definitely go to this restaurant during my stop over to the US. :) 2 thumbs up. :)
Feel so sorry for the Japanese people right now, as a Christchurch resident I know first hand what they are going through but I swear their quakes are like three times longer than ours! Must be so frightening, Kia kaha Japan x
@leungwillis Yeah, I was so mad. I thought we could go back and they'd make us new lunches. But we ended up spending the night on the airport floor. Loved the experience.
@leungwillis How could they finish the noodles with an earthquake going on? Even if they had finished the noodles, it could have been too late to find shelter.
I had just boarded my flight to LAX when the earthquake hit. We experienced the whole thing from the safety of the airplane. Your video of the earthquake is quite interesting.
@FTSkthxdie Hehehe. Just looked up Tagalog. Learned something new today. That's so funny. It's actually Vietnamese...at least me and my parents are, there may be Tagaloggers there.
@charles910 Ah, yeah, I noticed that your family was speaking Vietnamese. I heard some Filipinos speaking Tagalog in the background, too, right after the quake when they were telling you all to leave (starting at around 2:28). The first thing one of the guys said was "natakot ako," which means "I got scared." :)
i left alaska anchorage on the 2nd of march to guam then supposed to leave on the 12 back but going to narita again...but wow, lucky me im stuck here in guam...
You can always tell a T-Rex is approaching by water shaking

nyanko190 4 months ago
@nyanko190

Yeah, it was very nice of her. The old Vietnamese lady is my mother. My mom would later talk about that Japanese kitchen lady very fondly.
