lol i saw the new video of afi and my first thought was this video...is amazing how they changed....and they changed for worse....now they are shitty emos (in general emo sucks lol)...I would also pay $500 for 1 ticket fot this setlist...
I saw them in August of 1999 during this tour when they came to a small venue outside of Washington,DC called Phantasmagoria (say hi to me if you were there!!). They opened up with Strength Through Wounding instead of Keeping out of Direct Sunlight. It was pretty awesome, he was wearing black like here. Same energy as you see in this vid. Not getting kicked in the nose beforehand from the opening act would have helped me enjoy AFI a bit more. I was 14 at the time!!
Cheesy? Thats the last word I would use to describe the intro. I saw it as incredibly powerful, dramatic, and above all, commanding. Maybe its for these reasons you think its cheesy?
Makes me kinda nostalgic.... these guys were such a big part of my life at one point..... Kinda makes me wanna cry....... kinda like thinking of an old ex girlfriend or something............. maybe i should go listen to sing the sorrow and slit my wrists ;) LOL
Yep so do I... Their last concert I saw had such fantastic sound, however they only played December Underground and Sing the Sorrow.. what I would have given to have at least 1 of these tracks played that night.... at least $100 for sure ;)
This was the first show I ever went to. God damn, I feel so old. I wasn't even 10 yet at this show haha.

@davexy22 You don't think using what is essentially the "generic epic movie trailer" song is a bit silly?
