  • This was the first show I ever went to. God damn, I feel so old. I wasn't even 10 yet at this show haha.

  • OMG. I still love them but I really wish I had seen them during this era.

  • Back when AFI was good and Davey still acted heterosexual.

  • I was here. A lot of the camera flashes at the show here were mine. Hah.

  • i watch this overr and overrr, i come back to this video after months and it does not get old.

  • this makes me feel 19 again!

  • ROFL 5:56 We appreciate the warm welcome

    - YOU SUCK

  • fuck money i would pay my cock and balls to of seen AFI in this era with this set list. NAA... this exact show.

  • @Velvetdeath1 ROFL!

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • its like this scene died, then underground hip hop had a similar following, and now no one just goes out anymore!!

  • im with dustin lol

  • lol i saw the new video of afi and my first thought was this video...is amazing how they changed....and they changed for worse....now they are shitty emos (in general emo sucks lol)...I would also pay $500 for 1 ticket fot this setlist...

  • AFI used to be so cool

  • ive watched this video soo many times and it never gets old. the best part is where the kid sings in file! classic

  • Porphyria Cutanea Tarda performed perfectly, and at Slim's!!! this show was priceless.

  • Where did u get this? Did u find it somewhere?

  • fuck this band used to be EPIC. WTF happened?

  • aww the little kid singing in file 13

  • WE'VE BEEN REJECTED

  • @sickfuckino

    SUFFERED THE IGNORANCE

  • I am so jelious of any one who saw them at this point in time.

  • @TheMercurykiller hahahaha. Today's music is horrible.

    Punk is dead.

  • @godlesswickedvanian

I dont mind someof days music. but yes punk is head.

  • i was there

  • God, I miss the old afi. :( WTF happend?

  • they evolved, they're great now if you just give 'em a chance. :)

  • exactly....and it hurts

  • I saw them in August of 1999 during this tour when they came to a small venue outside of Washington,DC called Phantasmagoria (say hi to me if you were there!!). They opened up with Strength Through Wounding instead of Keeping out of Direct Sunlight. It was pretty awesome, he was wearing black like here. Same energy as you see in this vid. Not getting kicked in the nose beforehand from the opening act would have helped me enjoy AFI a bit more. I was 14 at the time!!

  • agree with the cheesey opening...awesome show nonetheless

  • Davey here reminds me of Zack De La Rocha from Rage Against The Machine

  • Hilariously cheesy opening.

  • Cheesy? Thats the last word I would use to describe the intro. I saw it as incredibly powerful, dramatic, and above all, commanding. Maybe its for these reasons you think its cheesy?

  • @davexy22 You don't think using what is essentially the "generic epic movie trailer" song is a bit silly?

  • i wish i could have been there but i was way to young

  • I wish I wasn't 8 years old a the time of this concert. I'm now 20. I'd give anything to see songs like this live.

  • damn got chills love these songs intro+keeping out of direct sunlight was awesome

  • I'd pay $500 for 1 ticket to see this setlist being played

  • couldn't agree with you more bro.

  • @Dustin795 same here. love them in the nineties.

  • @Dustin795 500000000000000000 for me!

  • I miss these days.

  • I love old AFI! Sing the Sorrow is only newer cd that i like. Anything past sing the sorrow is not my cup of tea. haha

  • Makes me kinda nostalgic.... these guys were such a big part of my life at one point..... Kinda makes me wanna cry....... kinda like thinking of an old ex girlfriend or something............. maybe i should go listen to sing the sorrow and slit my wrists ;) LOL

  • they were such a better band on NItro Records

  • these were the good days, before afi became gay.

  • My god, look at that set list. I'm on the verge of tears.

  • these guys were at one point punk revivalists...

    that ship has set sail.

  • True...very true...now they're just AWESOME revivalists! lol I'm not starting a fight just gotta say that!

  • I MISS THESE GUYS.

  • Yep so do I... Their last concert I saw had such fantastic sound, however they only played December Underground and Sing the Sorrow.. what I would have given to have at least 1 of these tracks played that night.... at least $100 for sure ;)
