  • Thanks for the video. I'm now paying around $21 for one cheap valve now a days. My house is 10 years old, and I've now replaced around 4 valves.

Being the valves are so expensive, it would be nice if I could just try and change the spring, and washers. Thanks again.

  • After searching google and page after page of instructions, I decided to check You-Tube to see if anyone had possibly made a video. Then we found yours. YOU sir, just put an end to a FULL-DAY's project that we just could NOT get right. Your clear instructions led us through it step by step and saved us hundreds on plumber help. Thanks so very much!

  • Thanks for the help! Your instructions made an otherwise confusing process relatively simple.

  • you're awesome!

  • THANK YOU! I must have watched so many videos and NOT one came close to helping with a solution. I really appreciated how you explained step by step. This was really helpful since I had the seat and spring in the wrong place. The old parts were lodged up in the faucet and I didn't see them, therefore didn't know where the new ones went. Guessing wasn't the right answer. The water just ran continuously and I had taken it apart so many times trying to find the problem. Great Video

  • god bless ya man but i got a question i am replacing the cold water handle and it just keeps spinning and it wont turn of the water plz reply back thanks again friend

  • @rhinomdog The stem (white part at 4:15) has a sort of "D" shape, and the handle should slot into this. Check that it's engaging before you screw the handle down.

  • Helpful, thank you.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! My husband spent 4 days trying to figure this out and finally he watched this video and it was fixed within thirty minutes! :) Thanks again!

  • Thank You sooooo much I spent two days trying to figure this out and had to buy another stem because the spring and rubber accidently fell down into the drain..hahahaha , then the kid at Home Depot told me that the rubber sits inside of the the stem itself, but that didnt make sense to me , ..then he told me that the spring is suppose to be small side down.

So once again THANK YOU , THANK YOU, THANK YOU for such a good post

  • I have a question. I did this and the tub won't shut off the water when I turn the handle. Is there a particular way to install the plastic cartridge with the hole sideways up or down?

  • @ADUBOIS11 If the handle just spins freely, then check that the tab in the cartridge engages with the handle. If the handle is turning the valve, then check that the washer and spring are installed correctly. HTH!

  • Thank you! I appreciate you not only explaining the repair process, but also the function of each part involved. Good visual representation of parts, as well. Made a 1st time faucet repair extremely easy!

  • Thank You Sir!

  • thank you
