I understand your thinking, but please keep in mind, this car accident happened in 1969, at night, and after drinking.

We all make mistakes, and although this was truly tragic, Mr. Kennedy has served our nation for 39 years with true honor since this happened.

One can only do so much at night in a submerged vehicle.

Life is not easy, and this is a perfect example of how tenuous it is, and how ephemeral we are.
