this is one most underrated comedy movie Ive ever seen. I laughed the whole way through this movie and cant believe it isnt more popular and didnt do better at the box office. It is a mature adult comedy. 13 year olds probably wont like this movie.

This atrocious song was put in the movie because the singer's a Jew, just like Geffen and Albert Brooks. Brooks, born Albert Einstein, may be the only Jew in Hollywood to change his surname for reasons other than trying to hide his racial origins.

The speech to his co-workers in the beginning and the fact that he listens to whatever music he likes DESPITE what people will say about it - these are the main type of reasons he's allowed to move on. Alot of people wouldn't do either becuase of some type of worry.

@septip123 I think the logo comes from the software the poster used. It only lasts for the first minute, and I think it's there because they used an unregistered trial version. :)

I still feel that this is Albert's best movie. It's funny as hell, thought provoking, and acted very well. Great cast. Albert makes you cry at the end. He's great in this. I love it! Thanks for the upload.

Awesome!Ok I don't know if any of you caught this but he is listening to Barbra Streisand's song Something's Coming and this film was made by Geffen Pictures.David Geffen was in one of the songs on that cd,he played one of the three men telling Barbra that she shouldn't make the album in the song Putting it Together.Coincidence?

I knew the guy was "someone", but I couldn't place him and it was driving me crazy! Now I know. It was David Geffen circa 1984. Good casting call. He's got that jaded, record company exec patter down to a t. Thanks again!

Great movie and one of Brooks' best. Is it just me or do Jeff Bridges and Albert Brooks sound the same? I mean picture bridges saying the same things. They both have normal voices, but have that higher pitches squeak when they're mad lol

Too me too. Have you ever seen Other side of the mountain with Bo Bridges? Very good - but it is a true story and will make you cry your eyes out. If you are not ready to cry don't watch it.
