The language settings in Ubuntu determines if Sunday is the first day of the week or Monday. If you change your language settings from English-UK to English-US, logout and login, the cal command will show Sunday as the first day of the week; if your language is English-UK, cal will show Monday as the first day of the week.

Hi, nice to have this video here. I had made a video on makefile basics. I learned that once you upload the video on youtube the clarity is diminished. It is better to use compiz and zoom the desktop.
You can simply enable vnc using the gui. If you are using GNOME then go to System > preference > remote desktop. It will also tell you the server name.
Otherwise simply say vncserver on command line it starts and tells the server name.
This works on your LAN.
To go beyond LAN over internet then other clients should be able to recognize your machine. I don't know how to do that.
