The man is a dishonest, hypocritical idiot. "Rainman" is right. Just listening to his verbal diarrhea in question time today made me want to get him in a headlock.
Yes, it was about oil. It was about preserving Iraq's main economic interest to keep it out of the hands of the jihadis and the surrounding nations like Iran and Syria.
And liberal fascist war criminal? Don't even start. Your earwax eating leader supported it too.
In 2000 Saddam decided to start trading oil in Euros instead of US dollars. This would have brought down a US economy dependent on the trillions of dollars from Mid East oil giving the U.S. Federal Reserve a limitless credit card.
THAT'S why Iraq was attacked in 2001. Bush secured the oil fields and swapped Iraqi oil trading back to US dollars, which further bankrupted their economy after 3 years of crippling sanctions. 80% of Iraq's (sp)oil has now been divied up between US oil companies.
My mistake... of course... '2003' as you say. In 2001 the U.S. was forced to buy most of Iraq's oil... in Euros.
The U.S.' need to attack Iraq to support their oil addiction - 'The Petro dollar Recycle' - is explained far better than I can in 500 characters of less in this You Tube vid...
he can go full circle if he loses the leadership - become an independant and vote with Labor HAHAHA

When Brendon Nelson recently and publicly admitted Iraq was all about oil, the Libs quickly fitted him out with a gimp mask and gag-ball.
He should have known when he jumped ship from Labor Unionist to Liberal fascist war criminal...
