  • BRAWL + :3

  • Hell everybody who commented here should check it out.

If you really care about games I recommend it.

And (I know your not supposed to start sentences with and) hey, do I appear like the type of guy who would advise you to something bad?

Again its gameoverthinker eps 4 and 11

  • when you bought your Wii, you agreed to not use any unauthorized software, or hardware with your Wii, which breaches the contract, voids your warranty and may be illegal depending on what you used. You broke a contract you made with Nintendo. Nobody really cares, but yes its technically illegal. It also spells out consequences for using such services at the end.

  • i doubt nintendo rly cares whatever the hell u do with ur wii, just no refund if u break ur wii in the process while hacking

  • They care because they are now disabling wii's with homebrew on them.

  • IF you play online with them. Nintendo only messes with Homebrew Wiis if they are hacking online. And really, this only applies to Mario Kart.

Homebrew is NOT illegal. You void your warranty and can be banned from Wi-Fi services, but Nintendo cannot take legal action. You bought the product, so it's yours to do whatever with as long as you don't make money off of it in a way that steals from Nintendo (i.e. downloading ROMS instead of buying VC games). Though Nintendo STILL won't do anything.

  • Lol they are doing things. Haven't you heard the news. Their booting people off wifi with mario kart and the conduit.

By buying their product you made a contract with them. Is it right to break contracts?

  • IF you hack online. Didn't I say that? Though they've gotten lax with Mario Kart recently (hackers sitings have increased a bit).

You only enter the contract when you use online services. And by breaking it, you lose warranty and online services IF YOU ARE CAUGHT ONLINE. Nintendo doesn't care about offline mods.

  • Its still wrong in general. The fact that they're trying to stop it in general says something about the hacked community and how it will never be taken seriously.

  • Your "wrong" is my "right". Right and wrong is subjective so don't go "what I think is wrong IS WRONG. FACT". I and others can disagree and you can't do anything about differing opinions.

Same for Nintendo. They can't take legal action just because they hate hacking. They can only make it harder to hack their product with intent of making it impossible. And that will never happen because hackers are too good.

Brawl+ has tournaments. And Counter-Strike became really big.

  • At the end of the day its Nintendo's product and they can do whatever they like.

  • And as the consumer who buys the product, we can do whatever we like with it. They have power over unsold Wiis and online services, but bought Wiis are at the consumers control.

  • honestly, i think that if you paid $250 for the system, and $50 for the game...u should be able to do whatever the hell you want with it o.o

  • But if you buy something, you have a responsibility to use it properly.

  • not...really o.o

  • Its funny how people can hate a company and their games but get mad at them when they stop them from hacking their games.

  • just saying but...theres no real way to stop a hacker o.o

they thought flashcards were blacked from the DSi...and now look how many flash cards are being made for it lol

u do have some good points ill give u that some hacking is illegal *cough*iso loaders*cough* but not all

  • But what gets me is that people complain about Nintendo's games.

Have you ever seen game overthinker?

Seriously if you haven't I highly recommend it.

    Particularly episodes 4 and 11.

  • ok i'll check it out...thanks man ^_^

  • They're not stopping people from hacking their games or systems. They're stopping people from hacking online. Even when banned, a person can still mod their Wii and play games.

  • hi ppl i dont know

  • I'm not trying to troll Im just stating the facts.

  • Chapter II: Unauthorized Software, Services, or Devices or Unlicensed Accessories

Your Wii Console and the Wii Network Service are not designed for use with unauthorized software, services, or devices or non-licensed accessories, and you may not use any of these with your Wii Console or the Wii Network Service.

  • Such use may be illegal, voids any warranty, and is a breach of this agreement. Such use may also lead to injury to you or others or cause performance issues or damage to your Wii Console or the Wii Network Service. We (and our licensees and distributors) are not responsible for damage or loss caused by unauthorized software, services or devices or non-licensed accessories.

  • We may take steps to disable or delete any unauthorized software, services or device installed in your Wii Console, for example, by detecting and disabling them through the Wii Network Service and/or game software.

  • so this makes it function like melee? sweet!

  • Brawl+ is it?

  • My main point is that your the best at something until you can no matter what happens. Whether its items, stages, characters, etc.

  • Lol only wavedashing? It was brawl+ the whole thing was a hack

  • You can wavedash in Brawl by hacking, pie.

  • The only hack was wavedashing.......

  • there were a lot of different versions but i know there is hitstun and gravity changes

  • DAM this is what i want brawl to be like even tho im still ok with it now. what hax? i like the air dodging system.. it adds more opening either than DIing cuz 0% KOS was too often. My hitsun was glitched.. marths tip hitstuns forever after hax

  • brawl = 35 characters

    melee = 1 character ( fox ) bad game

  • no u forgot marth, sheik, falco, yoshi, cf, ganon mrg&w, and roy. but i love the video thats exacly wat brawl is missing

  • he was getting at most tourneys game is all about fox.. if not marth tho>.>

  • You are a failure.

If Melee=Fox, Brawl=Meta Knight. Do you agree?

  • Mk is WAY moar dominant then Fox ever was/will be

  • Technically, Melee Marth has more tourny wins then Melee Fox and MK. But then again, it's mostly Ken, M2K, and Azen's doing.

THEN AGAIN, alot of MKs wins are coming from M2K...

  • Just wait a year and MK will have more wins than most of the top tiers in melee together.. :D

  • well simple equation about R.O.B and Brawl+

R.O.B fair+brawl+= FREKING BROKEN AS HELL

  • OMFG so nice

  • omg i want this.

    i cant wait for Brawl+

  • Lol hacked brawl looks amazing.

    Falcon for the win.

  • tan facilq es esquibar esos estupidos combos q tontos

  • Normal Brawl should of been like this. V_V

Btw..what's the name of the awesome song?

  • O.O Too bad this is a hack. I was considering actually playing the game. But sorry, Melee for me, as well as for the rest of the competitive community.

  • Sheeple. :P

  • I'm just wondering what makes Melee so great and Brawl not?

  • Hitstun.

  • Hi Mr. casualfag! So I take it you enjoy being grab-released, infinited and Chaingrabbed across the stages?

And how's no items, Meta Knight only, Final Destination?

  • No, but I don't enjoy using cheap exploits. I enjoy fighting my opponent fairly to the best of my ability without using cheap system exploits. Is that a crime?

  • Don't call things "cheap" and "unfair". Those words are subjective and many will disagree on what you call "cheap" (Seriously, wavedashing is about as cheap as walking).

You say you enjoy fighting your opponent to the best of your ability. But by calling things "cheap" and "unfair" and not using them, you are NOT fighting to the best of your ability. You are sandbagging and your opponent should dissappointed of you holding back because YOU think "it's not fair".

  • This game's winner is: metaXzero!

  • Comment removed

  • Well everybody I want you to check your Melee instruction booklet and tell me if you see instructions on wavedashing. Tell me if its in the instruction booklet.

  • don't worry there's a category for people like you, Noob.

  • No, the SSB people who play it seriously act so arrogant, like it was THE way the game was supposed to be played, and they get mad when stuff is shown that doesn't cater to that fashion. It's like saying...in Street Fighter 2, you cannot use moves exclusive to the characters. That means no Sonic Boom, no Tiger Uppercut, and no Hadoken. Thats fucking bullshit and isn't the 'true' way to play it, it's just playing it without it's charm and pizazz.

  • They can play a game and have a ball, I don't give a shit really. But strip whats already in the game to it's bare form and regard that as the 'true' method of playing it and saying any other way isn't is just pure BS, and them shunning the IDEA of people using items and the like that other people would do is downright disgusting.

  • Oh my bad then I get you now.

  • Non-serious Smashers are no better. They constantly attack the way tournys are played and try and change it (despite overwhelming opposition). If they want to play different (like with items), they can. Just play it with those who actually WANT to do that.

  • I dont really look down upon you item using casual players who are playing solely for fun, and most pros really dont. We just play our way and dont really give a fuck about you guys. Its usually the n00bs who are constantly calling us tourneyfags.

  • ???

    I don't play with items 0_o

  • Which is why my comment was directed at Jerogai.

  • But I got the E-mail reply. lol

    Eh. He'll see it anyway.

  • Would you play street fighter without doing a hadouken, tiger uppercut, or sonic boom?

Is that the way street fighter was meant to be played?

  • You can't turn off SF specials. fail comparison.

What is this "meant to be played" BS? You play it the way you enjoy. Tourney players enjoy no-items play. It's the funnest way for them to have a tourney.

No way is better then other ways. We all enjoy our own way of playing.

  • You can't turn off sf specials correct, however you can choose not to do them.

Similar to playing without items and claiming it as the best way to play the game in regards of skill.

  • People have opinions. Tourney players just like the style of no-items more then with-items.

Doesn't help that their is barely an item tourney scene and what little we've seen of tourney play isn't interesting.

  • The makers of the game never wanted you to wavedash. Check your instruction booklet on instructions for wavedashing and tell me if you see it.

  • I don't see grabbing items mid-air, powershielding, F-tilt angling, or shieldgrabbing in the manual either. ZOMG! They didn't want us to do those?

Interviews with Sakurai show he knew about Wavedashing and left it in. It's a mechanic that comes with Melee's airdodge. It wasn't intended to be a technique though. Physics exploit.

Who cares what the developers wanted? They'd rather we play with items and have Mario Kart over Smash in tourneys.

  • By not respecting the developers ideas about the game you're telling them pretty much f*** them.

Its kinda of like this. Lets say if I went to buy some golf clubs. However, I never play golf but instead use them to hurt people. The makers of golf wanted you to use them to play golf not hurt people.

  • For the the developers (and the makers of golf), TOO FUCKING BAD. Just because they wished we played the game as THEY intended, doesn't mean we who purchased it have an obligation to do so. We as the buyer will use and enjoy it the way WE use and enjoy it. I'm not going to use their product in a way I don't enjoy.

If they didn't want us to WD, they should have removed it when they found it in Melee's development phase. But they didn't.

  • If you don't respect the developers then why should they respect you? Your pretty much telling the developer f*** him.

  • Again, they made the game to make money and because they enjoy making games. We bought the game to enjoy it. Once we buy it, we do what we please with it and what's in it. We have NO obligation to play it exactly as the developer intended. If we can do something else outside of the original intention (like play it competitively or WD), we will.

Developer doesn't want that? They should make it an impossibillity, NOT have it there and say "don't do it".

  • If that's the case then I hope you don't expect the next smash bros to be made just for you.

  • The developers hate competition. That's why they made Brawl the tripping, campy, and grab infinite happy mess it is. We already have But Smash (including Brawl) is inherently competitive. They need to accept that instead of trying to force their preferred playstyle.

Back to wavedashing, it's in the final game of Melee and is far from overpowered. Therefore, we will use it. If you don't like WDing, don't WD and play better then those who do instead of saying "ur cheap".

  • Yeah I've beaten people who've wavedashed before.

  • I've done some research on wavedashing and Sakurai admitted he knew about wavedashing in an issue of Nintendo Power. He siad he would've taken it out but the Melee was in the final stage of completion. Also, he felt that with it there would be a wide skill gap in Melee which he didn't want.

Basically Sakurai felt like wavedashing was cancer. He knew he had but there was nothing he could do about it.

  • No. Sakurai said he thought WD wouldn't really do anything to seperate gamers. Upon pros showing off it's applications, he changed airdodging in Brawl (since WD comes from Melee's airdodge). WD added depth and Sakurai hates depth in his "party game".

Sakurai thinks Competition, Skill, and Playing to Win is bad. If he had the chance, he would make us not have tournys, only play with items and time, and laugh when we trip. This is why we don't care about the developers wishes.

  • Nintendo Power issue said that there was a big gap in gamers because of wavedashing.

  • WD didn't make you good. Utilizing it right did. It made a gap like Shielding right makes a gap. That's not bad.

An ACTUAL bad gap was from L-canceling. While it sped the game up and helped characters, their was no reason for it to be a manual thing.

  • but without wding in the game you can't create a gap. thats the problem with brawl. there is nothing to create a gap between TRUE gamers and recreational gamers.

btw, l canceling is hard and should have to be learned and mastered, not automatic. there there is no punishment for attempting a d-air with link, unless you can cancel.

  • SSB64 didn't have Wavedash, yet Isai is clearly better then any newb. :/

L-cancel only creates a gap between "those who can and those who can't". That's not a good skill gap. Medium/higher-up players will basically have L-cancel as muscle memory instead of a technique.

Utilizing a technique should be the skill gap, not actually doing it. Who goes "M2K's L-cancels are too good" lol?

  • The thing about L cancel is that you may have the muscle memory of a shffl but you may not have it if you do something unexpected/play with flow..

    Human errors are possible..

The main point with Isaiah is, you can do more stuff in ssb64 than you can in brawl.. that's why he can be so much better than most others.. He can do varies of stuff, scare them etc.. while in brawl, you can't do a single attack on a persons shield because then you'll get grabbed or get an aerial in ya face..

    -No options.

  • The point though is that at mid-to-higher levels of play, players don't really think of L-cancels. Yes, if someone misses, they get punished, but it happens so little it's negligible to the match. Players are not thinking "I'll make them miss their L-cancel" or "they may miss it here" unless it's low level play.

L-cancel is basically an arbritary tech barrier at low levels. Versus auto-low land lag (what Brawl+ does), it adds only for those who like to press buttons arbitrary.

  • With Isai, my point (IIRC) was you don't need WD in a Smash game to make a gap.

And yes, Brawl has little options.

  • Nintendo Power aren't tourney players...

  • Wow...I know this was written a while ago but I couldn't say it better myself. Thank you.

  • @metaXzero That was the best thing I've ever read from a youtube comment.

  • They should respect us, if not consider us BECAUSE WE BUY THEIR FUCKING GAMES. It's their job to create the game, not tell us to not slide across the ground.

  • Melee has an incredible amount of depth gameplay-wise.

In Brawl, a lot of what made Smash fun (even in 64), was removed.

Brawl does have amazing graphics and music though.

But it doesn't make up for the lack of Edge Game, Hit Stun, and being able to step backwards.

Plus everybody is floaty and the characters are more imbalanced than ever before.

    <3

  • It's so much harder to edgegaurd in brawl, too. But still, I hated being stuck in inescapable combos in melee. I liked doing them but hated being in them. The decreased hitstun in brawl has its advantages and disadvantages, I guess.

  • Already, this vid is sorta of outdated lol

  • omg HAX FALCON FOR GOD TIER!!!!

  • It's almost like there was a combo!

  • /Song name?

  • DID YOU POST /r/ ON 4CHAN ANON?

  • CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL

  • just seeing Falcon combo into knees again... makes me nearly shed a tear of joy

  • Excuse me for being blind, but what hacks were used here? The comments mention wavedash, but I didn't really see anything. Though, something similar happened with Sheik.

  • ARGH!!! ITS NOT LOADING!!!

  • Will the final vid use the new hitstun hacks (which kills Falco and Dedede's CGs)?

  • Just ban MK from tournys and be on your way.

  • did u fix ganondorf's horrible landing lag and clunky movement also?

MR. knight is broken out of his mind with this also MIRITE?

  • Yes. L-cancel hack FTW!

Nope. He doesn't benefit as much as everyone else (average wavedash, already near lagless, poor aerial speed prevents new combos). Really, it brings characters to his level instead of making the gap between him and everyone else bigger.

  • How?

  • Don't like hacks? Don't play with them. But don't be a fucking Nazi and tell us not to hack. We will do as we please

It's fucking pathetic how guys like you BAAAW about something that won't effect you. Though it does show THE REAL crybabies on these vids.

  • It's not about wavedash and L-cancel. It's about being able to do combo's. The hitstun and gravity in Brawl is so low, while the knockback is high, there are so few combo's it completely takes away one of the most important things of smash. The other thing is predicting what your opponent will do, which is still in normal Brawl but since teching almost never happens in Brawl, these codes greatly increase this smash element. L-cancel and wavedash is only added to create even more possibilities.

  • Heheh...you're calling US crybabies? Who's being a whiny little bitch over what some people they'll probably never meet are doing to their games? What we do to our games is our business...don't like it? Well get used to it...like Zero said, stop being a fucking Nazi about things that have no effect on you...now please, stop being a waste of skin and grow a pair...

  • Let me guess.....you where a whipping boy in Melee right? Justice is what I call it. :) a huge Middle finger to those who tried to ruin Brawl for skilled players.

  • C.Falcon isn't half bad with these hacks :)

  • Yo Chriss!

Could you point me into the direction of these videos :)

  • Vids or it didn't happen...

  • oh S***

and btwi can see C.Falcon is your person to use

  • 0:54 to 0:58

    SHUFFL-ing.

    =D

  • :D!

  • one combo... toon link, bair, bair, dair grab edge nuff said this game would suck in that manner... even though i main toon link and i wouldn't mind, everyone i play would complain about me instant killing them,

if that wasn't enough... marth fair fair dair, rob... same, it would be fun the first one to hit would take away a life immediately

  • That's Smash 64. Brawl won't become like that unless we remove DI and add 64 style hitstun.

Also, most good Marth's did that in Melee, yet no one complained...

  • i complained honestly i felt it was ridiculous, it gave no chance to the other player if they ever got caught, and its not that hard to catch a fair on someone. and no DI that is fail, then there is truly no skills in the game. you learn the 0 to death, and be the first to hit it off and that is one life, but if you see no problem with this i understand why you wouldn't like brawl... (this is not an attack just to say)

  • (cont)Some ppl dont like that. And if u couldnt do the combos from melee, then u probably like the fact that it is really hard for anyone to kill u from 0 to death. But if its one thing i know is that i miss comboing ppl to death. So either way go hacks. and if u want to be the self righteous jerk, that has to elaborate on why its bad to hack the game, then go get a life, and let ppl who play the game enjoy themselves.

  • i dont care about what they do to the game cuz either way im gonna play. Im sure that people can understand that they might be disrespecting the work of the team that worked on ssbb. However, sakurai wanted the line between noob and pro, to be parallel.

  • Yup, let them have their fun. If they can't compete in normal brawl and need this to have fun then let them. They don't stop the special olympics just because there are normal olympics.

  • What is with this retarded assumption that people who like Brawl+ more then regular Brawl aren't good at it? Didn't you notice most Melee vets are STILL on top in regular Brawl? Just because you are good at something, doesn't neccesarily mean you will like it.

  • I think it's funny that all these nameless scrubs keep saying that I can't compete in normal Brawl just because I prefer hacked Brawl. Lulz.

  • And sadly, their will be more to come.

BTW, add "Brawl+" to the tags.

  • Yeah, because Super Smash Meta-Knight: Brawl is totally competitive.

  • Ahh I say let them have fun their way if they can't handle the playstyle of regular Brawl then I say encourage them to play this other version with the other stuff added on.

  • been replaced by a different style of what is considered art now? People who approve of hacks sicken me. If they want to do something make your own damn game, but don't slam a popular one because you can't handle things are going in a direction you like. It's unoriginal, it's illogical, and it just goes to show that you can't adapt to changing times and that you really have no power over what people like. Competitive gaming is cool. Hacking isn't.

  • This goes back to why you care what other people do...and why do you? If we need to hack Brawl to actually enjoy it, then why shouldn't we? Seriously, we have full right, and whether or not YOU think it's "logical" or "original", we're not gonna stop because some self-righteous little pussy like yourself can't accept the fact that people are hacking such a "precious" game...please, cut the "righteous" bullshit and let us play the game the way we want to...

  • Brawl sucks ass.

  • I'd prefer playing a hack than super meta-knight brothers brawl any day.

The reason this was necessary is because the game is so incredibly broken at high levels of play that it's either play MK or go home. The speeding up and balancing of characters is an attempt to make the game competitive. If someone would do this to any game I have worked on I would be delighted, not disgusted.

  • in hacked version u cant use L?

  • hahaha hey cinder!

  • ^^; Haha, sup?

    Aaaaaand to be on topic, Brawl+ FTW ^^;

Hrm...I should add a Brawl+ section to H4x0RZ...that would be awesome...

  • <<Evil E

    aggression.. im disappointed in you.

  • uhhh why?

  • nice Brawl + vid i have a match of me playing on my profile

  • Whats the music called ? Its damn epic....

  • Debating about Brawl vs Brawl+ can be saved for the void of smashboards.

On to much more important issues: what is the name of the song in this video.

  • Dammit Nova! Marry me already.

  • Wow, that honestly looks awesome. It looks like the 64 style combos actually. I loved 64.

  • Incredibly stupid.

And now you hate me. :D

  • I'm looking forward to it.

  • esta chido asi pero para eso sta el melee aunque le falten monos jeje bay

  • Im Polish so regretably I dont attend tourneys. I love Brawl as I did Melee but Brawl is to defensive while Melee was just to fast and offensive for me. I think the idea of hacking to mix up the physics is a great idea.

I would like to know what exactly is added and what is left out? I guess tripping is out and no more multiple air dodges. Hitstun seems increased also wich is good. I hope the shield is only nerfed a little so the perfect shilds wont ocur that often. What else was changed?

  • if only normal brawl would be like that!

Better graphics, more characters, melee physics.

  • sorry to sound like an old stooge, but could you place a bit of credit where due for the codes? The way you're presenting it, it almost sounds like you made the code and you're the one who's going to release it... These codes mean a lot to us so please.

  • Yes, I was in a huge hurry when I uploaded this. Most of the credit for the codes goes to Phantom Wings and I have created a few or tweak some here and there. 90% of credit goes to PW though!

  • this might actually make me wanna play brawl again. I think brawl shouldve been something like this in the first place

  • No...if we wanna play a hacked Brawl, why shouldn't we?

Everyone who says bullshit like "just play Melee" needs to shut the fuck up and let people play this game the way they want to...it's obnoxious when people act like this will have a direct effect on them...it won't, and you're not gonna stop us from hacking Brawl...

  • Fully agreed. Why not do something to the game if the opportunity is given to you?Especially being this easy to do these things to it? And from experimenting with brawl+, it's actually not melee or brawl, it's both in one, making it a completely different game. So saying it's melee is ignorant.

On a lighter note, anyone mess with Mario yet? He's a beast! The Doc is back!

  • I'd love to play with a hacked Brawl with this stuff!

I'm just saying people who say "This is how Brawl should've been" are dumbasses.

  • Haha...wow...you're pretty pathetic to have to rely on petty insults...and I doubt you're exactly a Melee pro yourself...seriously, fuck off...why do you care?

  • Lol, you're the one cursing your head off =P.

  • *and trying to defend yourself

  • The only reason fools get mad at something like this being released is because they fear that everyone will stop playing regular Brawl once they realize what it could have potentially been. If you are reading this and you believe you do not follow this line of reasoning, then chill the fuck out and stop complaining.

  • Have you even played Melee? Because I've noticed that butthurt little Brawlfags like you only trash Melee and bitch about hacking Brawl because they either didn't play Melee or made retarded chimps look good at it...

  • You don't know shit about Melee and you don't know shit about these hacks. STFU about how you hate them. We will do as we please.

  • Uh, Yoshi already does suck and so do the mother boys?

  • Side tournaments are already planned dumbass. This isn't meant to replace Brawl.

And what does how good a person is have to do with this? They don't enjoy Brawl (or are bored of it) and want something new.

  • thats a stupid response. I just said melee fighting is better but brawl has aspects other than fighting that are superior to melee. So add melee's fighting to brawl and u have a better game. It's not a hard concept to understand. if peopel wanna play a hacked brawl then so be it.

  • Look who's talking...

  • this looks fuckin great fun

  • Looks like L-Cancel is in too. I mean look at 0:07, Link cancels his up aerial. You can see even more cancels throughout the video too. Sorry if this has already been notified. And do I see a wavedash @ 0:41?

  • do i spot a knee > taunt combo at 1:03???

  • No, it was made how it should be =S.

If you're going to hack Brawl to be more like Melee, you might as well just play Melee.
