This song is almost elementary in its force. After a day of terror in Oslo I simply had to listen to this song yet again. Deeply meditative and calming. I wonder what the future has in store for us all.
@piepszny It was part of the vinyl version of the album. But it was also released on an ambient CD compilation. Forgot what it's called, but you can hunt it down.
Personally, I arranged the tracks and burned 3 CD's to match the vinyl tracklisting.
Good to see some appreciation for this mantra. Excellent video, thanks balsamia. Not so sure about the gartuitous water sounds, but true to intent of the sound imho.
Listening to this song is a truly spiritual experience. Ive listened to this song over 1000 times in full and It will never get old. Has anyone ever noticed the clock ticking very subtle in the background? Is it the clock that slows down or is it the entire world around you. Genius.
Watching this vid and listening to this song, to me it basically represents the timeless, eternal beauty and flow of nature. It will always be beautiful and it will always be moving and changing but its still the same energy expressing itself in different forms. Why didn't this get added on my saw vol II cd.. its amazing!
@laamorin I don't think Richard D. James was trying to express any emotion in this song, and since this song has no emotion, artman40 is able to associate this song with any emotion that he has. When it comes to unknowns, people tend to fill in the blanks however best suits them.

I usually make progressive metal and listen to death metal from time to time, but masterpieces like this just transcends genre and explanation. I find that pioneer artists surpasses the mere categorization and have a lot in common with each other, sometimes more than with other bands of the same genre. In any case, music does and means something to me that I cannot find in anything else.
Just you and this song creating an unkowen emotion and taking you somewhere youv never been. thats what this music dose to me. thank you richard u mad bastard haha
Either the penultimate track which is 11 and a half minutes which isn't too bad but Stone In Focus is far superior. Or for the 2 poorest how about the drab [Tassels] and then either [Spots] or [Shiny Metal Rods]
i remember hearing this song on the modification for Half Life (1). It was such a great mod. This music added to it gave it such a unique feel to it. if any of you here are gamers, and wanna give that mod a try, it's called "Afraid of Monsters: Director's Cut". It's a survival horror mixed with first person shooter. some of the stuff i've seen in that game is so freaky, it will never leave my mind. that's what made it so great. This song too :p
