I love Tarja and I love Anette. I don't know how I feel watching Anette sing the old songs. Some of them sound really good--but others--others are obviously catered more for Tarja's style and range. <3 NW then and <3 NW now though :D
When people say that Anette's voice is so warm & sweet, it always seems to me that they lack love & warmth in life) Tarja's voice was perfect for Nightwish..
I feel so freaking stupid, we were on vaca in St. Pete and we saw a bunch of ppl and a band and the music was awesome, but we kept on walking down the street and now Im a HUGE fan of Nightwish and I missed a opportunity of a lifetime!! And to think they were playing my fav songs too!!!
To tell the truth? I like Annete's version of this song better. =) It sounds warmer and more intimate than with Tarja. Actually I became a fan of Nightwish after they changed the vocalist. So I don't feel any loss. Both of them are good at singing this song, just in different ways, that spices it up differently. =)

There is a simple solution for the idiots who cannot stop complaining about Anette: Stop listening to Nightwish. Complaining will not change anything. Tarja has a solo album out right now. I personally don't care which vocalist sings for Nightwish. Tarja can't pronouncing every second word in a song and Anette can't hold a note for longer than 3 seconds. They are both fairly bad vocalists and are easily replacable. Frankly, all of this fighting over the vocalists is just taking away from whats left of the band. It's not as if the song writing was changed for Anette, so there is no reason for anyone to be complaining about anything besides the pointless arguments themselves.
i don't think that having a bad pronunctiation menas taht you are a bad singer..sure it affects singing but that doesn't mean that you have a bad technique or a boring tone :/

Marco saves this song to...as usual. They should really stick with Marco on vocals. Although he said that would cut away his breath from Tarot but still...this shallow screaming Anette does...Well, if Tuomas is willing to sacrifice sounding for good mood in the band, it's his right...at this point Therion beats NW. She was asked to dye her hair black in the begining to fit in with the band and now she is back blonde that really does speak 1000 words. I think Toumas tries to control every aspect of Nightwish to mucch including how anette dresses and sings. I would'nt be suuprised if this is anettes way of rebelling. Also she sings differently at bigger concerts its like she is instructed to sing a certain way for Wacken and Lowlands now she's back to normal. They shud let her be she's awesome
Actually, she made the choice to dye her hair, and I highly doubt anyone can control Anette's style. As for the differences between this show and Wacken/Lowlands, those were earlier in the tour, so she's had a chance to improve the older songs, which she has. I'm only sad it'll be a good 2 years before Nightwish come back to the US - I saw them in Cleveland and was just blown away, and 2 years is a long time to wait. But that's what Youtube is good for.

I was there with three other guys from my band. We drove from Jacksonville for the show. One of my guitarists and I saw them in Orlando last November. I feel very fortunate that I was able to see Nightwish twice in ten months!
