  • this cartoon is damn epic!! idk why theres crybabies in here .. it's a cartoon , Bugs Bunny is an American icon as well

  • wow this is just a cartoon do not make a big deal about it

  • Ok Yankee Stick'em BLAM!!!!! up

  • mel did the voices for this the actuall director was friz freling

  • YANNKIE DOOLDEL!!! LOL!!!

  • Am I the only one here who thinks that Yosemite Sam was played for a fool by some redneck punks who, I don't know hit him on the head hard enough so he could be talked into believing he was a Confederate soldier and one of them dressed up as Gen. Lee to give him the "order" and that those guys who suckered him into this whole scheme of things are laughing their butts off somewhere off-screen?

  • From an African American, I am not all offended by this back in the good old days you didn't have to be politically correct like now. Mel Blanc only made humor out of what really happened in the late 17 and 1800's he honestly made EVERYONE look like a fool in his cartoons even whites. Just take a joke and live a little. Only Fox News is racist lol ;)

  • 1. Yes, parts of it are racist. 2. It was made in 1953 but Sam is still living as if during the Civil War which occurred 1861-1865, so the cartoon represents the attitudes of that time. 3. my favorite parts: @ 3:21 Abraham Lincoln "look me up at my Gettysburg address" good pun! @ 4:48 "Fall in!" splash! xD @ 5:55 "stick 'em" gasp! "up" lol @ 6:30 classic!

  • "General Brickwald Jackson?!? SIR!!!!" LOL funniest part.

  • this is funny as fuck !!!!!!! from a black man, sam is the best character :D

    Geez, this is old.

  • P.C. people are fraidy cats. (among other things unmentionable in polite company)

  • @TheLioness4824 uh......um.....he was already in shock with what just happened to him. Yeah let's say that. haha

  • "Fall in."

    Love it

  • Ladies and Gentleman, Allow me to state, that this cartoon is set in 1953. It is after the civil war, and i personally do not think that Mel Blanc was trying to offend anyone. He was simply pointing out that Sam is partially insane by having him dressed as a southern civil war soldier. He only dressed bugs as a black person because he was thinking that that would allow bugs to get over sam. And BUGS put the whip in sams hand. It was all a harmless joke and not a racist statement.

  • @TheGreenGummyBear121 who cares

  • This is hilarious!!!!

  • switcherxx: This is a satire of Civil-War-era mores. If it sounds racist, that's because Civil-War-era mores were. And it should be pointed out that the obvious Civil-War-era mores-following character--Yosemite Sam--consistently gets lampooned and sent up throughout the cartoon.

  • Okay Yankee! Stick 'em- *BANG* ...up?

  • Bugs the Nesquik Bunny! LMAO!!

  • The cartoon isn't racist. It clearly satirizes the Civil War-era South, and isn't race-specific at all.

  • @maddoctor138 when Bugs singing 'Old Kentucky Home'... and calling 'please don't hurt me masser'.... sounds racist to me. And when Sam calls him 'boy', that's really not politically correct...

  • THE FIRST DANG YANKEE THAT STEPS OUT OF THAT DUGOUT GETS HIS HEAD BLASTED OFF!

  • LOL the Lincoln impression

  • @Frances3654 I know, Mel Blanc's voice sounds so regal when he's impersonating President Lincoln

  • It's important to show this cartoon in full. Whilst racist by contemporary standards, it shows us what sort of casual racism was acceptable in a bygone era.

  • GREAT HORNY TOADS. LOL!!!!!

  • 6:25 to the End. Hilaroius as Hell.

  • 5:25 WTF WHEN HOW WHY WHO!!!!! WHERE DID BUGS GET THE RACK!!! my god my brain colapsed

  • @Sonichero151 He's a closet tranny. Didn't you know that? You can see him dressed as a woman in many cartoons. As well as doing his nails (like in this one) or trying to give Gossemer the Monster a makeover in TWO cartoons. He may be funny, but he has secrets like everyone else. haha

  • OK You fur bearin carpet bagger, I'm a commin in after ya.

  • This was so well done!! I can't believe that people can't appreciate good humor. It wasn't racist, it was mocking racism if anything, and, of course, the Civil War!!

  • @TheRobynmorin94

Well put. I agree with you completely on that, this toon does mock racism. I think you're the first one to point that out.

  • @Soulreaver191 Thank you! I am so glad that someone agrees with me. It's just such a shame that people have to see only the negative in things.

  • Wait, isn't it suppose to be General "Stonewall" Jackson?

  • "what's this i hear about you whipping slaves?" xD

  • fun fact:did you know in the tweety bird episode of north vs south tweety says "i thought i saw a damn yankee cat" witch i found hilarious

  • rebels

  • this is NO jive they STILL have that mantality in the south "yankees" LOL oh they so bad!! see they make fun of everyone people!

  • It is racist but its old. Kind of shows how far we have come. I aint tripping i have bigger shit to worry about.

  • @cookiegate AMEN Im black and I love this ... they also made fun of hill billy trashy white people, they even made fun of hitler in a banned cartoon its called HUMOR! but I agree I have too many things to worry about than some petty stuff like this! life is too short enjoy it!

  • yankee jokes never gets old! XD

what the...my headphones are dead! O.O

  • AHAHAHAH!!!!! Bugs Bunny as Abraham Lincoln! xDDDD

    Priceless!

  • HOLY SHIT! Where on Earth did you find an un edited copy of the cartoon? Thanks so much.

  • Racist cartoon. Yeah, right. Hasn't anyone ever noticed Bugs Bunny is black under that grey fur coat? Yosemite Sam isn't racist either. Notice how he says "Well, it's one of OUR boys!" with genuine affection, which is the way lots (not all, of course) but lots of guileless whites in the south viewed blacks back in the day. But, PC "Yankees" always are quick to paint white southerners as all "racist" while ignoring their own racism on Beacon Hill in snooty, liberal Boston.

  • @40AcreMule So true. And they also ignore the fact that Yankees burned down countless southern homes and took everything they could carry during the closing days of the war. Then after the war the Carpetbaggers bled the south of everything else. The Nort is always so quick to paint themselves as the heroes. The south may have had slaves but at least they weren't thieves and vandals. Although they may have been if things were reversed? Both sides were at fault.

  • @Indego84 read more books and gather facts and try to be unbias

  • It's too bad Witchgirl..that alot of black tv viewers don't agree with you.

They still think that this movie cartoon is a racist put down and they still force tv stations to either edit or remove this cartoon completely. I like this cartoon..and I wish that the damn, reverse bigots would leave this film alone.

  • @TheStanbabe yeah they don't play "hare we go" anymore either because it was racist against italians. whatever man. my father was a sicilian and he found it hysterical. and try to find any official links to speedy gonzales affiliated with warner brothers. you've got a better chance of finding christ shooting craps in the back of a discoteche. it's a real shame is what it is. the level of sophistication to the humor is unmatched nowadays. everythings crude and vulgar, but hey it's not "offensive"

  • General Custer, Eat your heart out Lol!!!

  • nice it seem like they kept it within reason, not rascit if there trying to make it accurate and funny..don't think they crossed any lines......God Save Dixieland!!

  • CHATANOOGIE!? lmao

  • "I wonder why they put the south so far south"

    ROFLMAO

  • goddamn why is it i cant even watch a classic like bugs bunny without some jackass bringing up racism?

  • @DantesProphet IKR? just let it go already. >:(

  • @DantesProphet because some people are idiots

  • @DantesProphet They have a poor understanding of what the word means too because it means hatred to race or to believe ones own race superior. A joke cartoon does not qualify and nor does prejudice to race.

  • @DantesProphet It is because the liberal media and establishment have conditioned people to shout racist and mostly thick people never break free.

  • @DantesProphet , it seems to me you are the one that brought racism up. im white does that make me racist, i think not.

  • @courtfarm1 ordinarilly i'd get angry and tell you to read through the comments from 2+ months ago to understand why i posted that but it's not my job to make sure you read something before posting a response.

  • @DantesProphet He does actively impersonate a black slave in this one, I think it's reasonable enough this once.

  • @Applemask I disagree. If they don't like it they can simply close the video and go find something for their overly sensitive ears. Not trying to start a argument or flame war nor am i a racist. I just do not see the point in constantly griping and bitching about some shit that happened 300-400 years ago. It's over and done with. I have real life problems like gas and bills and congress to worry about. I see no point in complaining about a cartoon for christs sake.

  • @DantesProphet I'm not commenting on the cartoon, I just wanted to point out that slavery did not end 300-400 years ago. Slavery ended in 1865. That's 146 years ago.

  • @Dreolin2004 sigh point missed entirely. What i was trying to say more or less was people need to quit living in the past stop bringing shit up that no one can change and that no one today is guilty of and move the hell on. There are enough real life problems today to worry about without adding some shit from the past.

  • @DantesProphet 300-400 years ago?

  • @doctorseaweed2 Tis when the black slavery thing started. I know slavery goes back as far as 3000 years ago but usually racism these days is almost always related to the black slavery days of the 1600's up till mid 1800's.

  • @DantesProphet goddamn why is it i cant even go to a simple kkk meeting without some jackass bringing up racism?

  • @DantesProphet

Because we live in retarded times where politically corrections dictate what is good and bad. Seriously, those moral guardians and politicians should die out.

  • lol yankee won the championship

  • Loved the ending!!! Lol

  • is it just me or does bugs look like a total badass in the general jackson costume?

  • @BaronVonAsskicker yeah but Bugs was also a closet transvestite. haha As he showed later on in this one as well as countless others. And have you ever noticed how he likes manicures? haha He is forever giving himself one or gave one to Gossemer the Monster, as well as a hair makeover. Hmmmmmm? lol

  • @TheReturningShadow [laughs] closet, nothing. it always made me wonder why it was ok for a cartoon character to cross-dress, but at the time in the real world, you'd be publicly shunned for that. humans confuse me. nonetheless, great cartoon ^^

  • mel blanc was the best rip

  • FAAALL IN!!!!!!....splash......lol

  • 5:58 looks like a possible continuity error, as it looks like after the cannon blows up at him, Sam suddenly had hair (which he didn't earlier in this short).

  • Yay racism!

  • I'm black and I think this cartoon isfunny

  • @witchgirl4 same here.... I don't don't see the problem with the older ones either, they were created during a time when the concept of equality wasn't brought up and considered. it was done for laughs. In fact, we still do this now...

  • "Brickwall"? Shouldn't it be "Stonewall"?

  • @Kentaro21 it should be. its a parody of "Stonewall" Jackson

  • "Well SHIT my mouth..."

    .....that can't be right.

  • @skellington15 nope... he said "shet mah mouth" just like Sam said "I gotta burn mah boots, they tetched yankee soil". Good stuff

  • "Yess, sir."

"Yankee Doodle went to town, riding on a pony."

"Stuck a carrot in his hat, and called it macaroni!"

    LMAO XD

  • Sam: "Okay, Yankee!"

    Sam: "Stick em'...(cannon fires)...up?

I can't stop laughing at that part!!

    LOL XD

  • Sam at 3:23 - but, but, but, but...Sam encounters Affirmative Action!

    Thanks for this classic Sanek1994.

  • Looks like 21 mets fans love the way this cartoon ended.

  • @MrGinjiAmano It's satire against the dumb white Confederate Sam, dumbass - take a valium.

  • @satchelpooch01

oh wow dude grow up man....jeez your fuckin comment wasnt even needed here like for real get a life man...dont like my opinion dont read it fuckin asshole

  • He knew the war was over, but he didn't know Stonewall Jackson was dead?

  • @AlphaOmega804 nope he wasnt told

  • Yosemite Sam should be the head of Homeland Security with his strong toughness on Borders!
