  • Understanding is a virtue.Hard to come by...

  • I am just going to pretend that I was at Woodstock with them in my past life

  • Why is marty balin always on vocals?

  • Jorma was a monster on the electric. The solo during the outro/fadeout kicks ass

  • I am 2 years old but I love this album. Wished they would make music like nowadays. My friend is 18 months old and she loves it too. Born too late?

  • 68's rock

  • @yiqitjahn 67 :P

  • hey im 17 and jefferson airplane is my favorite band...and music today does suck

  • I love this song. I'm 13, and I get made fun of for listening to Jefferson Airplane; but it still doesn't stop me from listening to them...

  • @MrWilliamSandoval i was 13 when i first heard this band. if you get made fun of for listening to this band, you're hanging out with the wrong kind of people. that's all i have to say about that. keep enjoying (eventually you'll find people with taste)! :)

  • @MrWilliamSandoval take them!!!!!.....kick there asses!!!!!,,,, I did ....back in 1972,....I guess somethings dont change...... be a hippie.... flower in the left hand ..... fist in the right!!!!..... oreo ... Waterbury, ct... 1978... 203 503 1360

  • I too wore this album out ...

What makes the sound at 1:15? Sounds like when you drop a red-hot piece of metal into water.... I've always wondered.

  • impeach nixon.......impeach obama

  • @ioriorioriorio free Nixon impeach Obama

  • @oxopig nixon is dead you dumbass

  • Warning: Jack's gonna jump out at you like a booger from an Mr. R. James ghost tale. Jorma on vocals and machine gun guitar.

  • @excelsior544

I hate to be exclusionary, but honest to god, was there a better bassist in rock than Jack Casady, or a better combination of guitarist and bassist than Jorma and Jack? Pleasure without end.

  • @ivycompton Check Jack and Co. on "Somebody to Love" on Bless Its Pointed Little Head lp.

  • one of the best bassists around is Jorma-fuck this band are cool- I havent heard this for 20 years and love hearing it again.

  • there is stuff all diethylamide around this country and if so it is 30 to 40 a pop! :O Psylocybe is easier

  • yes, this is one song where paul and jorma and jack all just sound so perfect together. dont get me wrong they sound good on the other songs, but Paul usually doesnt have the same vibe as them.

  • Love it when everyone else in the band backed away and let Jorma, Jack et al. do their thing...Nice!!!

  • Killer LYRICS !!!

  • im 17 years old. this be my favoriet band. music of today sucks, theirs good shit out their, society just had it burried alive. Money is more important than the music in this day in age... i have a band. a band that will help start a revolution in rock n roll agian. like i said, rock isnt dead its just burried alive.

  • @popmachine12 I'm fourteen, and I feel exactly the same way. Jefferson Airplane is my favorite band, and as a musician (whose voice has been compared rather generously to both Grace SLick and Signe Anderson), I hope that what I can bring to the table will start the revolution again. We really do need it.

  • @popmachine12 You are wise way beyond your years!

  • @popmachine12 Rock on !

  • @popmachine12 Dude, me too. What style are you guys going for? Lighter like the Airplane or more Cream?

  • @popmachine12 ill buy your records man! keep it alive, its what i live for. im a 15 year old girl.

  • @popmachine12 i'm the same age and everyday i wish i had a band so the amazing music of the past can stay alive. thank you for doing what i've always wanted. how can i listen to your band??

  • @popmachine12 Too right! I also am in a band wanting to start a revolution. Check out Sludge9509.

  • @popmachine12 Rock isnt dead its just buried alive. Like it.Had this album years ago good hearing the sounds xlent guitar riffs and rhythms full package.

  • I don't like to keep repeating this, but it's important for younger people and straights to know, this is Owsley Acid inspired music.

This music is designed for listening to at a dose of 350 mics or higher of pure LSD-Then it becomes something

astonishing that can't really be described, but is never forgotten and is utter, total pure indisputable magic.

  • i never thought of it as acid rock , back in the day it was known as psychodelia,

  • Acid rock

  • true acid rock!

  • If you don`t know Jack you don`t know Jorma:)

  • Doesn't anyone think that the unique-to-this-song JORMA/PAUL harmony is 1000% COOL?!?!?!?! It never happened again, but they REALLY blended well!!!!!!!!! I LOVE the "I~~~~never knew you"

echo part! Not to mention JACK'S INSANE FUZZ BASS FEEDBACK SOLO FROM MARS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SEAOFGREEN It is indeed cool, especially since Paul is doing the higher part of the harmony. As much as I love when Marty harmonizes with Paul, this is a pretty awesome change.

  • Love Jorma and Jack and Hot Tuna.

  • good but not better than watch her ride that song has a better melody but white rabbit and somebody to love is there best work

  • "understanding is a virtue, hard to come by..."

    Esp. these days. TFP!

  • best J.A.-song ever! thanks for posting!

  • Wore this album out 68-70. thanks for bringing it back!

  • Just getting into this song, love it!
