man that is one wild ride! It's not the motorcycle that cause the crash, it's the lack of experience riding it. My first scooter was the 750 Seca. Second was the FJ1200 and I never lost either of them. Damned near a couple of times, mostly at highway speeds. When you get up over 120mph you tend to be a little more careful. This thing here would be a real thrill, and a bit of playing before I rode like this guy.

It depends on your age and weight, if you want a good first bike buy a yamaha yzf125 it still goes pretty well. Not great but I think 150+ is hard to handle for a first bike. My uncle got an R1 and previously he only had a 250cc bike and as soon as he bought the R1, he had a crash, so I would think twice mate..

And the only bikes that can compete are Italian (Ducati) or German (and only recently with the BMWS1000RR). British bikes suck (except for the Triumphs which are about 3/4 there) and so do American ones.

Go look at a dyno sheet of a turbo bike. The turbochargers on these bikes are typically so small, that even at idle, there is enough exhaust gas velocity to build small amounts of boost.

Superchargers just hold high revving engines down. It's more mass directly tied in with the engine, which means more power pulled from the crank.

You must've never riden any bike, let alone a supercharged or turbocharged bike. Hardly any bike on the market has a smooth powerband. Even on 600's, when you nail the throttle, lighter guys have to fight to keep the front end down.

I would say it's a good choice for a first BIG bike ... if you've never ridden before you might want to start on something smaller for 12 months or so, say a CBR250cc or maybe an R6 if you really feel limited by the 250cc. But the VTR is a very nice, forgiving bike. You can be in 6th gear, and accelerate your way up a steep hill if you need to, it just has awesome low-end power.

The speed showed on speedometer it's not real....the bike didn go more than 200 Km/h. Look at the speed showed 40Km/h and compare the speed with the cars in front and the way that the bike is going. And look at 250Km/h and see the huge trucks and small cars which have a maximum speed of 170-180 Km/h...so it's a clown show

When we did Turbo bikes for strictly drag racing, elec air shifting, etc, 40 plus pounds, $15 a gallon fuel, 10" slick, stretched typical w/wheelie bar, it was brutal.

Whats my car got to do with anything, i don't understand. This guy is trying to pull a wheelie but can't hold the bike through a succesion of gears. When a bikes power lifts the front wheel it is much more suttle and less pronounced. Just in case you did not realise, bikes don't bounce down the road on their front wheel. This guy is obviously still learning to hold a wheelie. And the answer to your other question is Yes, you can keep the front down under hard acceleration. It comes with practice
