To me anything Candice sings far surpases any original and moves the soul, heart, body and mind. Love her to bits, fantastic singing voice, so pure and gentle but yet so empowered and moving. A true inspiration to anyone who ever hears any of her songs.

I beleve the inspiration for this song come from the legend of Joseph of Arimathea. The "Old Man" is Joseph, The "Maid" I believe is Mary Magdalene, and the "boy" is a young Jesus

His mother's name is only "Mary". Magdalene is about the same age as Jesus and appears on the bible text only when he is an adult
If everybody listened to this the world would be a very peaceful place. Beautiful song and seems to be like a drug to me, highly addictive and makes me happy.

I just listened to this today and it was an instant hit. In the studio version Carol has male accompaniment, this is well suited as a duet.
