@salvolondon Oh, no doubt. Chimpanzees are actually very aggressive. Most people don't actually know what a chimpanzee is, though. They hear 'chimp' and they think of those baby chimpaneez with the gankly limbs and pink faces from telivision adverts. Not the 180lbs males that are 5 or 6 times stronger than a man. Chimps are actually very dangerous.

Gorillas, on the other hand, aren't aggressive at all. Certainly they're big and powerful, but I don't recall them ever killing anyone.

Trust me, Howletts and Port Lympne are the five start grade in gorilla accomodation, and the Aspinall foundation do remarkable things for these beautiful creatures, as well as other species. Amazing.. I have always felt a strong connection to the Mountain Gorilla ever since I saw the family bond they share and the empathy and caring that a wild gorilla can show towards an animal of any species. An adult male (if he wanted to) could snap you in half. I Agree with the belief that they should all live wild and free. Unfortunately man has made it necessary for programs such as this. with poaching still a threat and a wild population so small they may be the key to the species survival.
