I don't see why the commentators are debating about the soft break being "not good" or anything. Alcano is constantly making the corner ball and always has a open path to hit the 1 ball to shoot or play safe. I don't like it mush either but its a very, very effective way to play 9 ball.
This might not be one of Efren's best days, but he's still my favorite player.
Just see the "Efren Reyes, the world's greatest pool player ever dazzles with his skill and humility" video, it will make you believe this man is a legend.
It hurts me to see Efren play like this. We are not use of seeing him play so bad. I guess he is human after all. Age has finally defeated the master. But his knowledge never abandoned him. It will always be there. For over 30 years he dominated the game

Some players and commentators think it's unmanly to soft break. Earl Strickland is pretty vocal about it I think.
