I've started working on backcrosses recently, and that pyramid practice method you've mentioned in other tutorials seems to work nicely. Around 10 sets of 2 backcrosses in a row, then 4 or 5 sets of 3 in a row, and finishing off with a set of 4 in a row.
wow this really helps! i remember watching it when it was first posted, but i wasn't even working on backcrosses at the time. now that i am practicing them, i will definitely use your tips :]
I don't really know. I haven't really drilled that trick to see how many I can get. I've just sort of tossed that one in there for 12 catches or so after doing other things. What I really want to be able to do it run that trick for like 12 catches right after triples. Can you do that? If so, any hints?
i can, i do some doubles, verry low. and then some flats. and then 360 into doubles.. never really tryed triples. doubles looks fine if you keep them low, were you thinking of connections?
haha, i did my first 3 club backcrosses flash today. Hurray for me, and the verry same day i could do the flash many times, and proper. I worked 30 min on it.. i never really worked hard on it until now! :)
great tutorial as always. ive started practicing and can get 2 throws at a time consistantly but three is really messy at the moment but im sticking with it. ill upload a video when i get closer
thankyou thankyou i cant thankyou enough for making this tutorial but i hate to say this but i wont be learning this because my clubs were stolen and clubs cost a lot of money i was wondering what r your favorite props to juggle
Could someone learn how to juggle clubs by using plungers as the props? I am saving for clubs, but using plungers in the meantime. It is silly, but it will be a while until I can afford clubs. What do you think? I am learning cascade. What tricks could someone do with plungers, what tricks would you recomend not to do? Thank you.
Yes, you could learn that way... the weight difference will throw you off a bit. Get the Airflights made by Dube-- they're like $9 each. Pretty cheap...
Thank you so much - excellent tutorial as usual, just fab! I've been trawling the net for something as helpful, but there's nothing else out there! Brilliant. Cheers!
I guess I think those two props are different enough... BUT doing it with balls first would get you used to the general idea of timing and placement, so it can't hurt, right?
thanks, great tutorial. i can do 3 ball bxxs indefinitely but never really got anywhere with clubs. i will give them a try in the summer when i am less busy and can juggle outside!
You know what? I DID learn it with doubles first. I guess I THINK it might be helpful to learn the singles version first, if that is what one eventually aspires to do. What's YOUR opinion on that?
great video Chris! I have really been struggling with backcrosses. I can almost do continuous backX with doubles, but only 3 or 4 in a row on singles, and i usually end up doing the "funky dance" just to get that far. I've been practicing backX tennis, and backX half-shower A LOT but my left hand can't keep up. I'll be making a new club video when my backcrosses become more stable. Thanks for making all these great tutorials!
ahahaha nice funky dance. like orphaneater1 said being able to do solid backcrosses from one hand while doing normal throws from the other hand is a HUGE help. that and backcross tennis. two best drills for backcrosses. also going for flashes of 3 backcrosses is a huge help. only other thing i would say is that if youre just learning 3 clubs throw a backX every once in a while just to get used to the throw. ive been working on reverse backXs once i get that down i think ill make a tut on both.
- Throwing only backcrosses with X hand, and normal throws with the other. You should generally be able to do this about 20 times before starting backcrosses. Its best to be able to do it "forever"
I found that this exercise really helped when I was having trouble with these (I still do, I need to work on it more). Diving right into backcrosses can be, well, dangerious if your normal behind the back throws are weak. Great turotial!
are you using renegade clubs and if so what size? I used to own 5 and practiced frequently on concrete and finally trashed them, but I really liked the weight and feel of them. I am looking to get another set.
I like it how everyone else's tutorials just show them doing it, then them in slow motion, and then they say "Now, go do it." You have the best tutorials, hands down.
Nice tutoria! Ill have to refer back to it when i get my clubs, by the way what type of clubs do you prefer or recommend? Ill have to remember to keep good posture when doing my backcrosses with balls too, thanks.
Could you do a tutorial on 3 club alberts and treblas Please?

guitarpro112 3 years ago
I think the style in which you look side to side is harder-- but it looks cooler.
