  • Great video DW, I use the hammer stlye puller but after your video seems faster.. Is there any powder spillage after bullet is pulled? Thanks in advance.

  • @markaveli44 The only time I have had powder spillage, is when tryint to remove bullets that were crimped and or sealed. I have since learned that you can run these rounds back in the seating die and seat the bullet a little deeper to break the seal and or crimp. Thanks!!!

  • Great job on the video. Thank you

  • @Jerrybassman Your welcome...

  • @buddiiee I guess soo....

  • I'll have to try screwing down the die instead to get the proper grip on the bullet once I get the new collet replaced. Thanks

  • @therabbit50 I Hope that helps! It is really a nice little tool to have..

  • By the way, great video, you make this process look easy to use, but the problem I was having was that the collet on some of the bullets wouldn't grip the bullet enough and so when I would pull down the lever the collet itself would break at the tip of the mouth. Eventually, the collet had to get discarded. I'll have to buy a new one and try doing a better job with the help of your video. Thanks

  • @therabbit50 I have had small problems and have had to replace one for the 277. I was applying way much pressure on the handle instead of screwing the die in further which helped some..

  • I had trouble pulling 45 acp RN lead bullets with this device; are these bullet pullers good only for jacketed bullets?

  • @therabbit50 I am not sure. I have not tested mine out on cast boolits yet. I still have to give it a test. I could potentially see a problem as a lead boolit are easier to deform than a jacketed one.

  • great video, thanks

  • Nice video. Much thanks. Just picked up the die and some collets.

  • Your welcome. I found it to be extremely handy for mass quanity pulls.

  • : P

  • wow man thats alot of work for the job that needs doing, i just use a kinetic bullet puller. Takes like 10 seconds . BAM!

  • No not really. Not as much work as you think. Raise the round lower handle lower round done. No hammering. Quicker turn around for multiple rounds without having to take apart the kenetic puller to place another round to do it again. Kenetic is good for pulling a round that you made a mistake on, not really quick enough for multipul rounds... I have both and use both depending on the job.

  • not with crimped military ammo

  • natomasboy, I have not tried these out on hard cast yet. I do have some that I have casted up that I need to pull. Let me give it a try and I will get back to you on it....

  • Do you know if this will work with hard cast bullets?

  • Yes, thank you I was told that but I had a hard time, meaning it didn't work. Since the bullets are .312 diameter I could use them for my 303 british and/or 7.7 Jap. That's why I bought the Hornady bullet puller..........I have about 750 bullets to salvage. I do have the CZ52 rifle but I do not care for it. and the cartridges are somewhat in bad shape therefore not suitable at the range.

  • Thanks, much clearer than the Hornady "how-to". I still will have a tough time removing lacquered and frozen bullets from unsafe somewhat corroded metal cases....talking about 7.62X45 CZ

  • if you place your rounds with the crimped bullet back into your seating die, you can seat the bullet deaper breaking the crimp allowing you to pull the bullet alot easier!

  • Good video!

  • Thanks man, appreciate it!

  • Nice Job DW.. great explaintion on the use of the Hornady Cam Bullet puller.

  • Thanks man. I hope it helps out some.
