@invisible0tom hey nice system but whats your fps with a 512x512 tp. i mean it has to be between 40-60fps right. just want to know because i am currently waiting on the release of amd fx 8 core 3.9 ghz processor in feb
Hey I have a 2gb ram 1.6ghz Windows 7 Ultimate Os and an 8800 Video/Graphics card 2007 computer. would you say it'd be good enough to run these mods? (I also have Java 6/7)
@MrGlinzz graphics cards are easy, you just need a new enough motherboard to have a x16 PCI slot and a power supply with enough 4 or 6 pin power connectors and it need a high enough wattage to cope with the new graphics card.
@MrGlinzz Without knowledge of building computers it would be tough, as there are lots of individual components, each needing to be wired/connected, and then there are many things which may go wrong. You would be better off getting a friend who knows about this to build you one.
Awesome ^^ Looks like a new game kinda :D! Whats the song name btw :D! And do i need something else than just adding this texture pack to the folder? Peace :D!
@NerdsWithAttitudee the song is Interaction- on the beach, and to use high resolution textures you need to use the "MCPatcher HD" fix to make the game compatible with these textures. I did use two other mods for this but neither are updated.
@WarriorOfWAAGH There is also the minecraft enhanced mod which replaces the default sky/clouds, fog and also increases the view distance by up to 4 times. I just wish I could have used the water reflections mod with this!
@RyzeToDeath The thing is, if notch was killed in the past and minecraft ceased to exist now, we wouldn't have found out about minecraft to start with and so we wouldn't miss it as we never knew it existed. Its only in hindsight that we know what a loss it would be. But then again there wouldn't be minecraft haters to abuse the time travel as minecraft wouldn't exist so how would notch have been killed in the past... oh I love a paradox :)
There will be a new version of this coming in the next few days hopefully featuring reflective water, GLSL shaders, wild grass, minecraft enhanced and a 512x512 texture pack!
@willij08 not any more it wont I've got twice as much now!
If I can get reflective water, GLSL shaders, wild grass, minecraft enhanced and the 512x512 texture pack working then Java will fall to its knees and beg for mercy *evil laugh* but for the moment there are too many compatibility issues :(
@FluffeyHD yeah I realised that after trying to get the combination right for about 15 minutes, I ended up going with a high res texture pack and the water shader. It looks great though, check it out!
I have a 6 core 2,7 ghz phenom with 8 gigs ram and a non-integed AMD HD graphics card, will I experience low FPS? Currently run at like 120 smoothly with a 256 tex pack . Also how did you get the view distance that far?
@FluffeyHD I have a same to slightly lower spec system than that (as long as your graphics card is above the 5770) and my fps go down to about 70fps from 156fps I think your fps drop would be pretty much the same.
and to get further view distance I used the minecraft enhanced mod
Alrighty thanks so much for the advice :) When I click the enhanced mod link it says I don't have permission to view even though I am logged in.... What?
@FluffeyHD yeah its been like that for a few days, I haven't come across it before.
ah well that graphics card is less powerful than mine so it may have a little more trouble with these intense mods but, if you can run a 256x texture pack at 120fps it should be fine
@Tokyodrift5000 use MCpatcher and goto options and change the max heap size (MB) to 3024 if u have 4 gigs of ram, an if u are using nvidia graphics driver go to control panel, "manage 3D settings" (make sure your drivers are up to date) go to program settings, click "Add" then select minecraft .exe turn setting low or high depending on graphics driver. Thumbs up if i helped at all.
Man, what kind of computer do you have!? You're running an amazing texture pack and lots of mods AND a recording program, yet you're still running hundreads of FPS!!
@invisible0tom Man, When I got my PC last upgraded, it must off been worth £750 aprox. now it struggles with minecraft sometimes :P I RWALLY need another upgrade.
@invisible0tom I mean during this video , the most you can get on the default voltage as far as I know is 3.8 so why not run that constantly , as long as it stays under 62 celsius your relatively safe , from what i've read anyway
@KoshyHD I still use the stock cooler as I don't see any point buying one for the two months left before I go to university, and so i does get very hot sometimes.
@invisible0tom Yeah it can run on stock cooler at 3.8 but I could be wrong , you clearly no a lot more about computers than me , i'm a bit of a noob , lol :)
@JWK35 well I almost crashed it when I blew a whole inventory full of tnt, but a stack of 64 brings my fps down to about 88fps from 130fps so it copes pretty good!
@MrBunnyFlesh Well I upgraded my pc which I got about 5 years ago so I haven't bought new a case since then but apart from that I spent about £600 on my current CPU, ram, GPU, HDD and motherboard which you can see in the description (I just got another 4GB of RAM last week though).
You can get a pc much faster than this for £600 now though as most of my pc is over a year old.
Minecraft should have a moon realm. You'd have to collect a lot of materials to build a rocket and travel there. Notch would have to put in a new element like oil for fuel and you could power it by gathering electricity from lightning or a hydroelectric dam. The minerals on the moon would have to be really special though and carry a huge roll on the Minecraft earth. If anyone else thinks this is a good idea thumbs up the comment and copy and paste it to many other Minecraft videos. Thank
@invisible0tom The 256 pack is probably too much memory for your Java. They are no differences between the packs just the resolutions of the textures, so you would'nt and shouldn't have mod incompatabilties.
@adamtheamazi well a while back in beta 1.3 I tried the 256 pack and it worked but i didn't like it as it was too noisy so I got rid but it did work so i can only assume it didn't work with the double view distance.
what game is this again? jk but really this is awesome it looks real life like...if it wernt blocky i might have trouble telleing if this was a game or a recording in real life XD
@ZenkzyHD well as a general rule start off low and increase it until it the Pc crashes due to the thermal switch which isnt dangerous. from that point lower it a bit and that will be your maximum overclock.
@ZenkzyHD From my own personal experience the best way is to use the BIOS to increase the clock ratio. I find I can get a higher overclock with the BIOS while still being stable than when using software.
@carloskillix You really shouldn't be getting 20fps in minecraft with a 5770 even if you are running mods. I got almost 60fps with the 128x128 texture, wild grass and double view distance.
At the moment I'm just running a 32x32 texure pack and 3.32GHz gives me 170fps while 3.52GHz gets about 175fps so the difference is negligible.
backup saves and delete the whole minecraft folder then run minecraft to redownload it as 20fps is not right for your system.
@invisible0tom well it just seems like in the video it is way smoother than what im actually getting, texture smoothness and fps. IDK it just seems Softer. I get like 96 fps with the 256 pack and i have 4 gigs allocated to java and a gtx 580. Shouldnt be any issues it just Looks different in the video that what im actually getting haha
@invisible0tom I would like to know about the anti-aliasing you seem to have on there, when I look into a mountain or something it all looks pixelated. Textures are fine with me though.
@ConfusingGamer the video was shot at 1920x1200 and compressed down to 720p which gives it an anti-aliasing effect, but the distance does look very pixelated when I play.
@invisible0tom grrrr I hope Notch puts that in if he doesn't I'll eat him! But I have found something interesting if you're using open GL which you're obviously using, it's called Rivatuner I don't know how to use it though :/
bitch please, i have 59 mods installed with a 128x texture pack on a 2-3 year old mid price range laptop XD

At the moment I'm just running a 32x32 texure pack and 3.32GHz gives me 170fps while 3.52GHz gets about 175fps so the difference is negligible.
backup saves and delete the whole minecraft folder then run minecraft to redownload it as 20fps is not right for your system.

How is it so smooth looking? I cant get my minecraft to look that way with even the 256 version
zwieldin 9 months ago
@zwieldin do you mean framerate or texture smoothness?
invisible0tom 9 months ago
@invisible0tom well it just seems like in the video it is way smoother than what im actually getting, texture smoothness and fps. IDK it just seems Softer. I get like 96 fps with the 256 pack and i have 4 gigs allocated to java and a gtx 580. Shouldnt be any issues it just Looks different in the video that what im actually getting haha

@invisible0tom Also there are no working view distance mods right now with the latest update sadly

@invisible0tom I would like to know about the anti-aliasing you seem to have on there, when I look into a mountain or something it all looks pixelated. Textures are fine with me though.
ConfusingGamer 9 months ago
@ConfusingGamer the video was shot at 1920x1200 and compressed down to 720p which gives it an anti-aliasing effect, but the distance does look very pixelated when I play.

@invisible0tom grrrr I hope Notch puts that in if he doesn't I'll eat him! But I have found something interesting if you're using open GL which you're obviously using, it's called Rivatuner I don't know how to use it though :/
