Disagreed. This isn't a knock against country, but since country definitionally is a throwback to time before itself, it doesn't date quite the same as pop, rock or alternative music. If one hears a truly good example of country-western song, but didn't know what year it was released or who sang it, they'd not be able to guess when it came out.
