That's one of those hidden things programmers put in when they write the code for a game. I once had Missile Command for the Atari 5200. On the first level, if you didn't shoot a missile and allowed all of the cities to be destroyed, a little "RF" would pop up in the space where the sixth city was. RF were the initials of the programmer.
